摘要: A pipeline construction usable for internally insulating a welded joint between pipes with an internal protective coating. A device for internally insulating a welded pipeline joint includes a sealing assembly including a cylindrical housing and a coaxially-fastened cylindrical working member that radially expands upon generation of excess pressure in a cavity thereof. Inside the housing are a sealing compound feed assembly, a dosing device formed by a piston assembly for sealing compound components, and a pneumatic control assembly. In the dosing device, working cavities for each component are connected to the feed assembly. The elastic working member has a conduit connected to the feed assembly for feeding sealing compound into an annular gap in a welded joint region, and a conduit for pumping air out of the gap. The pneumatic control assembly controls dosing device and feed assembly functioning and generates excess air pressure in the working member cavity.

摘要: An optical face protection shield is provided having a support body, an optic lens, and an elongate heater. The support body has a user interface. The optic lens is carried by the support body over a user's face configured to protect a user. The elongate heater is carried by the optic lens so as to traverse an expansive surface area of the optic lens. The elongate heater has an elongate resistive heating element and an outer thermally transmissive, peak temperature mitigating, and an electrically insulative cover material encompassing the resistive heating element. A method is also provided.

摘要: Methods and systems for predicting at least one temperature along a fluid flow path of a fluid flow system having a heater disposed in the fluid flow path are provided. In one example, a method includes: obtaining at least one input, wherein the at least one input includes a setpoint, a mass flow rate, an inlet temperature, or a combination thereof; calculating a temperature associated with the heater based on a predefined model and the at least one input; and setting a value of the at least one temperature along the fluid flow path to the temperature of the heater.

摘要: A resistive heater capable of delivering heat loads on the same order as those produced by in-pile nuclear fuel experiments. The heater rod provides the energy for high-temperature steady-state testing, as well as the power needed to simulate the transient pulse in the Transient Reactor Test Loop (TRTL) system. The resistive heater includes a removable housing, two or more thermal conductors in the housing; and one or more stabilizers coupled to the two or more thermal conductors to keep the two or more thermal conductors separated to avoid shorting, wherein the two or more thermal conductors are coupled to the housing via an inert gas (e.g., Helium). The two or more thermal conductors comprise a material with substantially zero infrared spectrum (e.g., sapphire, silica, or glass).

摘要: An electrical heating element for an electrical heating device is provided, wherein the electrical heating element is made from a coiled resistive wire with flat ribbon geometry and one or two connector assemblies, wherein the resistive wire with flat ribbon geometry is coiled into coils with an inner diameter, an outer diameter, and a distance between adjacent coils such that the flat side of the resistive wire with flat ribbon geometry runs parallel to the coil axis, and wherein the connector assemblies have at least one connection element that is in surface-area contact with a section of the resistive wire with flat ribbon geometry. In addition, an electrical heating device with such an electrical heating element and a method for manufacturing such an electrical heating device are also provided.

摘要: A heated light enclosure having an adaptable heating system is provided with a controlled heating system to deliver enough heat to a lens on a lamp assembly to remove snow, frost, and/or condensation without overheating the lens. By heating the lens using a combination of one or more of PTC heaters, heat sinks and heat pipes, accumulation of snow, ice, or vapor is mitigated or eliminated from a surface of the lens, thereby enabling light to transmit through the lens. Applications include lamps and bulbs on conveyance devices, including vehicles, boats, planes, and trains, as well as sedentary structures, such as lamp posts, street lights, railroad crossing markers and lights, and airport ground and runway lighting systems.
