    摘要: A radial press is provided including a base, a hollow ring die mounted on the base rotatably relative to a press axis with an inner contour tapering in the direction of the axis and rotationally symmetrical, and a rolling element unit rotatable relative to the axis and having a pressure ring, which surrounds the axis, and a plurality of rolling elements arranged around the axis which are rotationally symmetrical. The rolling elements are supported on the pressure ring at a variable distance from the axis and can roll on the inner contour of the ring die. A rotary drive acts on the ring die or the rolling element unit and effects rotation about the axis. A feed drive also acts on the rolling element unit or the ring die and effects axial displacement of the rolling element unit and the ring die relative to each other.

    摘要: A radial compression mechanism includes a constraining structure with a cut-out defined by a plurality of bearing surfaces. A plurality of die are carried by the constraining structure and arranged in a circular pattern about a central axis. Each die has a base side positioned in parallel juxtaposition to a corresponding bearing surface and each die is constrained to move reciprocally and linearly along the corresponding bearing surface. Working surfaces of the plurality of die cooperate to form a cavity that is movable between an open position and a closed position. A driving mechanism is coupled to at least one of the plurality of die to drive all of the die in unison between the open position and the closed position.

    摘要: Embodiments related to juicing methods and apparatuses for extracting juice from food matter using juicer cartridges are described. In one embodiment, a juicer cartridge may include one or more separate internal compartments. Food matter loaded into the juicer cartridge may be compressed by a corresponding juicer and expelled through an outlet that may be sealed until activation. Food matter may be pre-sized according to various physical characteristics, and the juicer cartridge may be injected with a gas to enhance shelf life and reduce nutrient loss. The juicer may also be provided with “smart” functionality to provide safety features, track usage, and enhance the operator experience. Several embodiments of packing systems for preparing juicer cartridges are also described.

At least one of the hard metal anvils is a free moving anvil (6) having clearances of at least 0.01 mm up to 0.2 mm towards the neighboring hard metal anvils (5, 8), so that no wall friction occurs between the free moving anvil and the neighboring anvils. This allows for high critical current densities Jc at reduced pressure applied to the hard metal anvils.
