    摘要: A package that has at least one hologram on its exterior surface is formed from a paper, paperboard or thermoplastic substrate material that has an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface has a radiation curable particulate metal containing coating. This coating is cured and zero to one or more ink containing coatings are applied to the radiation curable particulate metal containing coating in areas that are not to have a hologram. Each of these ink containing coatings are cured, and a substantially transparent radiation curable coating is applied to the areas deficient in the zero to one or more ink coatings. This substantially transparent radiation curable coating is contacted with a substantially transparent holographic shim in an area not having thereon ink containing coatings while curing radiation is applied to the substantially transparent radiation curable coating and the substantially transparent shim.

    摘要: An optical security feature, e.g. for a banknote or other security documents, comprises a first and a second holographic layer arranged on top of each other. Each layer comprises a comparatively simple reflective volume hologram, such as it can e.g. be recorded by the interference pattern of two Gaussian light beams. The volume holograms have different grating spacing and/or orientation as well as different extension such that the observer can distinguish and verify them easily. The simple nature of the holograms make the security feature easy to manufacture, while its two-layer structure makes it hard to copy and yields high diffraction efficiency.

The invention further relates to a method for producing an optical element wherein an embossable film provided with an embossed hologram is partly filled with printing lacquer, and a method for producing an optical element wherein hologram embossing is prevented by prior partial printing of the embossing film with curable printing lacquer.     摘要: A paper support has an adhesive layer and a metallized holographic image, wherein the metallized holographic image includes at least two holograms, such that the first hologram is visible only by non-coherent light and the second hologram is visible only by coherent light. The holographic images are formed on a photosensitive element on a polymeric support by imaging steps, which include metallizing the holographic images and overcoating the holographic images with an adhesive layer. Next, the metallized holographic images are transferred to the paper by laminating the adhesive layer to the paper at a predetermined temperature and pressure, and subsequently delaminating the polymeric support from the paper, such that the holographic image remains on the polymer support for reuse.
