Abstract:
A ring mechanism has an elongate body made of a moldable polymeric material and rings for holding loose-leaf pages. Each ring includes a first ring member and a second ring member. The first ring members are movable relative to the housing and the second ring members between a closed position and an open position. At least one ring member for each ring is a separately formed ring member and comprises a ring portion and an anchor connected to the ring portion. The at least one separately formed ring member is formed separately from the body. The anchor of the separately formed ring member is secured to the body for pivoting movement relative to the body. The anchor can be received in a receptacle in the body adapted to receive the anchor.
Abstract:
The booklet comprises a number of sheets between a cover, and each sheet has a front side and a rear side. At least one data page is provided that is joined to the cover in a fixed manner. The data page comprises a flexible layer and this flexible layer projects with an area out of a data carrier. On this area, the data page is joined to the cover and to the remaining sheets. The flexible layer is flatly joined to at least one other layer, for example, by welding or bonding and is thus inseparably bound without a mechanical joining part.

Abstract:
A ring binder has an elongate body and rings. Each ring includes ring members moveable between open and closed positions. The body and rings are made of one or more moldable polymeric materials. The binder suitably includes a retaining system operable to hold the ring members in the closed position. The retaining system has interlocking formations adjacent ends of the ring members that are moveable between a retaining position in which the retaining system holds the first and second ring members in the closed position and a non-retaining position. The ring members and body can suitably be formed together as one piece from a moldable polymeric material.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus, a printing control terminal apparatus, and a printing control method thereof are provided. The method includes setting a division tab generation function which is to divide a printing target tab into page sections, dividing the printing target document into a plurality of page sections according to the division tab generation function, determining division tab positions according to the plurality of page sections, printing the printing target document, and performing cutting with respect to pages of the printed printing target document in the determined division tab positions to generate division tabs.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a pop-up article from one or more continuous webs of material using an inline printing press. The article comprises a curved or generally semi-cylindrical pop-up device enclosed within a base piece, such that when the base piece is in a closed position, the pop-up device lies flat therein, but when the base piece is moved to an open position, the pop-up device is forced outwardly from the base piece to form a curved or generally semi-cylindrical shape. The method comprises processing a first web or ribbon to define a base piece having a front and back cover, processing a second web or ribbon to define a pop-up device, separating the pop-up device from the second web or ribbon, adhering a tab of the pop-up device to the front cover, adhering a front flap of the pop-up device to the rear cover, and separating the article from the first web or ribbon.
Abstract:
A foldable clipboard includes a two panel foldable clipboard in which the two panels cooperate to form a single planar surface when in an extended position, and at least one of the two panels are configured to pivotally move to overlap the other when in a folded position, such that the foldable clipboard is folded into a size to fit into a pocket of a garment. The foldable clipboard includes a clip and a holder for a pen or pencil.
Abstract:
A ring binder has an elongate body and rings. Each ring includes ring members moveable between open and closed positions. The body and rings are made of one or more moldable polymeric materials. The binder suitably includes a retaining system operable to selectively and releasably hold the ring members in the closed position. The ring members and body can suitably formed together as one piece from a moldable polymeric material. Alternatively, the ring members can be made separately from the body and snapped into the body to form the ring binder.
Abstract:
A file system includes a brochure B formed by forming binding holes P1 in a plurality of sheet bodies made of the same material and binding the plurality of sheet bodies together by using cut and raised pieces P11 cut and raised out of the binding holes P1 and a file F for binding the brochure B by using the binding holes P1, in which bound portions P3 of the brochure B are compressed and deformed in a thickness direction.
