Abstract: A pneumatic tire may include: a carcass; a belt reinforcing structure comprising a plurality of belt layers that include at least one spiral belt layer and at least one zigzag belt layer; and a tread comprising two or more main grooves extending circumferentially continuously around the pneumatic tire and defining a plurality of ribs that include two axially outermost ribs. At 10% to 100% of rated pressure and no load, each of the two axially outermost ribs may be raised (e.g., by a gap of 1 mm to 7 mm) in relation to a respective next nearest rib located axially inward of the respective axially outermost rib.

Abstract: A heavy truck tire tread (2) having a longitudinal direction (LgD), a lateral direction (LtD), a tread depth direction (TdD), a ground contact surface (CS) and a pair of opposing tread shoulders (3, 4) spaced apart along the lateral direction is provided. The tread has a shoulder zone (SZ, SZ′) adjacent each tread shoulder of the pair of opposing tread shoulders, the shoulder zones consisting of blocks (5, 6) adjacent to each other along the longitudinal direction and separated by lateral grooves (7, 8). A center zone (CZ) is defined between the shoulder zones. The center zone is decoupled from both shoulder zones by at least one longitudinal sipe (11) or groove, and each lateral groove (7) in a shoulder zone (SZ) is directly connected to an opposite lateral groove (8) in the opposite shoulder zone (SZ′) by a lateral sipe (10) of the center rib.

Abstract: A tire includes a middle land portion between a crown main groove and a shoulder main groove. The middle land portion is provided with a first middle lug groove extending axially outwardly from the crown main groove, a second middle lug groove extending axially inwardly from the shoulder main grooves wherein the first and second middle lug grooves are arranged alternately in a tire circumferential direction, and a first middle sipe provided between the first and second middle lug grooves. The first middle sipe includes a crown-side middle sipe element extending axially outwardly from the crown main groove, a shoulder-side middle sipe element extending axially inwardly from the shoulder main groove at a location different from an extension line of the crown-side middle sipe element and a connecting middle sipe element connecting therebetween.

Abstract: A pneumatic tire is provided in a tread portion with a center land portion which is defined between center main grooves and whose top surface has a certain area and a maximum axial width of 15% to 19% of a tread width. The center land portion is provided with axial sipes and recesses. The recess extends from the center main groove toward the tire equator, and has a depth of 60% to 80% of the depth of the center main groove. The total area of the recesses is 5% to 9% of the area of the above-mentioned top surface. The center land portion is formed as a substantially continuous rib.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tread for a tire. The tread includes at least one elongate block of rubbery material of width W and length L with L>>W. This elongate block extends in a circumferential direction (X) when the tread is mounted on the tire. The elongate block includes a contact surface intended to come into contact with the ground and a first lateral wall and a second lateral wall delimiting this contact surface. The elongate block includes a plurality of sipes opening onto the contact surface of the elongate block, with each sine extending in an oblique direction opening onto the first lateral wall and onto the second lateral wall. The sipes are distributed over the contact surface of the block in such a way that when one sipe reaches the second lateral wall another sipe starts out from the first lateral wall, at a same circumferential level (N) on the elongate block. With the sipes delimiting sub-blocks in the elongate block, at least two of these sub-blocks are configured differently in the tread.
