    摘要: An air-handling system includes a housing having a passageway formed therethrough. A diverter is rotatably coupled to the housing, and includes a door disposed in the passageway for selectively opening and closing the passageway. A shaft of the door extends through a first opening of the housing, and extends outwardly therefrom, defining a first axis. A lever is coupled to the shaft of the diverter. A flexible tab is disposed axially outwardly of the lever and is positionable in a first position and a second position. In the first position, a distal end of the tab is positioned radially inwardly of an outer circumferential surface of the lever, and in the second position the distal end of the tab is positioned radially outwardly of the outer circumferential surface of the lever. The distal end is moveable about a second axis, parallel to the first axis.

    摘要: An air vent dial for an automobile includes an air vent housing having an air path and a damper for opening or closing the air path; a dial housing provided in the air vent housing and having an opening and holding projections; and a dial assembly having a dial knob to be fitted into the opening and a rear fixing plate connected to the damper through a link member to control the opening and closing degrees of the damper. The dial housing has the holding projections at positions corresponding to opening and closing positions of the damper. The dial assembly has a dial elongated hole and fixing projection projecting inwards and contacting the holding projections while being guided and moving along the rear outer peripheral surface of the dial housing at outside of the rear fixing plate having the dial elongated hole.

    摘要: A door mounting structure for an air conditioning system is disclosed. An axial end portion (121B) of a door (120) arranged in a case (110) is journaled rotatably on a bearing portion (111B) of the case (110). The forward end of the bearing portion (121B) is inserted into the bearing portion (111B) in such a manner as to be projected out of the case (110). In order to secure a predetermined clearance between the bearing portion (111B) and the axial end portion (121B), the bore of the bearing portion (111B) is larger than the diameter of the axial end portion (121B). A fixing member (130) is inserted into the portion of the secured clearance and fixed on the axial end portion (121B) or the bearing portion (111B). The insertability of the axial end portion into the air-conditioning case is improved and a defect such as an insertion failure is prevented.

    摘要: A novel damper system for controlling airflow through a plenum provides an effective seal between a rotatable damper door and the plenum to substantially inhibit airflow through the plenum without requiring additional sealing materials such as rubber or foam. When the damper door is in the closed position, an upstanding rib on each of the upper and lower portions of the damper door engage a complementary groove in a respective sealing member on the interior of the plenum against which the damper door faces abut. The engagement of the ribs in the groove provides a seal comprising three surface-to-surface interfaces. The sealing members are relatively small, compared to the size of the plenum, and thus pesent little impediment to airflow through the plenum when the damper door is rotated to an open position.
