摘要： A retractable roof assembly for a vehicle is provided that includes relatively movable rigid panels that are positioned to cover a passenger/cargo compartment of the vehicle in an extended position and that are stacked one above another in a retracted position. A telescoping track is provided on opposite lateral sides of the vehicle to guide movement of the roof panels. D-pillars of the roof assembly are slidable between a position wherein they are spaced from the C-pillars to a retracted position in which the D-pillars are adjacent to the C-pillars. Side windows of the vehicle are retracted into the rear quarter panel area of the vehicle.

摘要： A hard top structure for a vehicle having a roll-bar cage is provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the hard top structure may include a frame adapted to overlay on and attach to the roll-bar cage. The frame may include an upper frame member that defines one or more upper frame openings. Further, the upper frame member may have a channel member that extends around at least a portion of each upper frame opening. The hard top structure may also include one or more upper frame panels with each corresponding to one of the upper frame openings. Each upper frame panel may have an insert member that extends around at least a portion of a perimeter of that panel. Also, each upper frame panel may be positioned in one of the upper frame openings so that the corresponding insert and channel members form a seal joint.

摘要： A retractable soft top system includes a support frame with a forward end and a rearward end. The rearward end is detachably and pivotably interconnected with the vehicle body at the rear of the passenger compartment. The support frame includes a latching member extending from the forward end. The latching member is operable to selectively engage an engagement feature on the windshield header so as to interconnect the forward end of the support frame with the header. A cover selectively covers a storage area behind the passenger compartment. The cover is pivotally supported such that the forward end moves upwardly to uncover at least a portion of the storage area. The cover has an underside with an engagement feature adjacent the forward end and a retaining latch spaced rearwardly therefrom. The support frame for the retractable soft top has a first position wherein it extends over the passenger compartment with the rearward end interconnected with the vehicle body and the forward end interconnected with the header. The support frame has a second, storage, position, wherein the latching member engages the engagement member on the underside of the cover and the rearward end of the support frame is retained adjacent the underside of the cover by the retaining latch.
