Abstract:
Provided is a line head including: a light emitting device array in which N (N is an integer of 2 or more) light emitting device groups including a plurality of light emitting devices is arranged; an output unit which sequentially outputs driving signals for driving the light emitting devices of the light emitting device groups to the light emitting device groups; and a delay unit which delays input timings when the driving signals output from the output unit are input to the light emitting devices, wherein the delay unit delays the input timings of the 1 to (N−1)th driving signals output from the output unit to the input timings of the Nth driving signals output from the output unit, and allows the light emitting devices of the different light emitting device groups simultaneously to emit light.

Abstract:
In a display control device according to this invention, video signals are given in parallel each of a plurality of extracting means via a common bus means. For this reason, each extracting means can selectively extract any of the video signals. Each extracting means extracts a portion of or all of required video signals in correspondence to a display area (an area on the display means defined by a display pattern) to be extracted from each of the video signals. The extracted video signals (concretely real luminance signals, interpolated luminance signals, and color signals) are interpolated in horizontal and vertical directions according to a magnification of the display pattern on the display means. This interpolation is an operation to supplement picture elements corresponding to a number of scanning lines and length of the scanning lines which become short when a specified area of the video signal, which is an original signal, is enlarged. The video signals thus interpolated are given to corresponding display units on the display means, respectively. As a result, video signals can be developed at an optional position on the means with an optional size, and in an optional combination.
Abstract:
An image display system is provided in which an image to be displayed is subdivided into a plurality of images. The plurality of images are displayed on a plurality of display devices. An image is converted to a high definition television signal, and then converted to a plurality of signals compatible with standard television systems. Since the image is subdivided electronically, mismatching between screens is avoided. Further, when the input image to be displayed has an aspect ratio larger or smaller than that of the high definition television system, the displayed image is appropriately shifted, thus eliminating hardware and reducing the system cost.
Abstract:
An oblique projection original is formed by deforming an orthogonal projection original in such a manner that a rectangular original is transformed into a trapezoidal original by compressing the orthogonal projection original by thinning scanning lines in a horizontal direction. In addition, predetermined bits in each scanning line are thinned in a vertical direction, and each line is compressed by reducing first and last portions of each line by half the number of bits thus thinned. Finally, white bits are inserted at the first and last portions of each scanning line to complete each scanning line.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for eliminating noise in a digitally recorded visual image wherein the proportion of picture elements in an area surrounding an objective area having a first visual level or component is determined and the objective area concluded as having the same visual level or component when the proportion is above a predetermined value. In one embodiment, both picture elements in the surrounding and objective areas are counted to determine the proportion while in another only those picture elements in the surrounding area are counted.
Abstract:
A sealing device for pistons comprises a piston-ring groove having upper and lower annular inclined surfaces forming a nearly V-shape in cross-section, a piston ring having an annular inclined surface that bears tightly against the lower annular inclined surface of the piston-ring groove, and an auxiliary ring having an annular inclined surface that slides downwardly along the upper and annular inclined surface of the piston-ring groove to force the piston ring downwardly along the lower annular inclined surface of the piston-ring groove and expand the piston ring.
Abstract:
A sealing device especially designed for sealing between the opposed flat surfaces of a stationary member and a rotary member. The device comprises a multiple seal ring composed of a plurality of annular seal elements of different diameter which are received in an annular groove formed in the rotary member. The seal elements each have a flat sealing face formed at one end for sealing contact with said flat surface of said stationary member and a conical sealing face formed at the other end for sealing contact with a conical bottom surface of the groove, the conical sealing face diverging in a radially outward direction toward the flat sealing face. The seal elements are each cut radially so as to provide themselves with a radially outwardly expanding force and closely fitted one over the other in a concentric relation with the radial cut portions of the respective seal elements being circumferentially displaced from one another for sealing the cut portions of the seal elements. The seal elements in use are caused under the action of their own expanding force to slide along the conical bottom surface of the groove so as to urge their flat and conical sealing faces into intimate sealing contact with the flat surface of the stationary member and the conical bottom surface of the groove. With the above construction, the seal between the flat surfaces of the stationary and rotary members is effected solely by the multiple seal ring without employing any additional means such as springs, O-rings, or the like and hence the sealing device is extremely simple in construction and highly durable.
Abstract:
A sealing element is provided which is formed of a fluorocarbon resin sheet and radially slit into two annular overlapping flaps to receive a garter spring or the like therebetween at a location adjacent to that peripheral portion of the element which is left solid and formed with a sealing edge. Despite of the limited elasticity of the seal material per se, the sealing element, finally molded into shape, has an exceedingly high ability to follow the mating surface of a rotating shaft or other member of a mechanical assembly to be sealed. The followability of the sealing element is further improved on account of the slit formation of the element.
