摘要: A transport system for people and the like, wherein vehicles of limited capacity move rapidly on one level and are adapted to be transferred from the one level to a second level which is vertically displaced from the one level. Guide means is provided for directing the movement of the vehicles between the two levels in a vertical path portion connecting the two levels, the vertical path portion having curvilinear portions at the opposite ends thereof for interconnecting the vertical path portion with the respective levels; carrier means being provided for receiving vehicles from one level and for discharging the vehicles at the other level, the carrier means being arranged for movement on selected path portions including said vertical path portion; the carrier means being further adapted to operate in a manner such that the vehicles thereon maintain horizontal positions over the selected path portions.

摘要: A composite laminated construction track for use in a relatively low cost and economically operated high speed passenger transportation system wherein motive vehicles are coupled to provide transportation for large numbers of people. A powered main vehicle that may be one unit or more than one coupled unit is provided to travel between terminal stations and detachable passenger ferrying auxiliary vehicles are used to transport passengers and their baggage between the main vehicle and intermediate loading or unloading stations. Operation of the independently powered motive vehicles is coordinated through a computer system, sensing units on the vehicles provide signals for coupling control and specially constructed tracks and track switching insure safe operation even at very high speeds.

摘要: The invention relates to a device for transferring a transport car which can be displaced on a track system from a first track section of the track system that is arranged on a first level, to a second track section of the track system that is arranged on a second level different from the first level. The device comprises at least one first and one second transfer carriage which can carry at least one respective transport car to be transferred and which can be displaced in opposite directions on two different levels. The invention further relates to a conveyor system for transporting articles.

摘要: An overhead monorail conveyor whose inverted U-shaped rail has flanges provided with inwardly extending lower marginal portions to provide tracks for the wheels of a vehicle having an inverted U-shaped frame which surrounds a portion of the rail. The wheels are mounted on brackets which extend at a level below the marginal portions of the flanges and thereupon upwardly into the interior of the vehicle frame. The motor which drives the vehicle is mounted in the frame in the interior of the rail, the same as the conductors which supply electrical energy and the toothed rack or racks which mate with several gears driven by the motor. The interior of the rail further confines and shields other sensitive components of the conveyor, such as electric switches, proximity detectors, contacts which slide along bus bars, centering rolls for the frame of the vehicle, and devices for biasing the motor-driven gears against the toothed racks.

摘要: An attraction system includes a ride vehicle motion system that includes a ride vehicle coupled to a motion base via a track element. The ride vehicle motion system is capable of motion along a first track or a surface of a first ride type using a transport base coupled to the motion base and capable of generating motion effects using the motion base while in motion along the track or surface. The ride vehicle motion system is also capable of moving to align the track element with a second track of a second ride type to permit the ride vehicle to separate from the ride vehicle motion system and traverse the second track.
