    摘要: A steering actuator including a motor having a rotor including opposing input and output ends. A driven gear is supported on the input end of the rotor shaft for rotation with the rotor shaft and the output end provides a rotational output of the steering actuator. An override shaft is supported for rotation parallel to the rotor and a drive gear is supported for rotation with the override shaft wherein the drive gear is longitudinally movable relative to the driven gear to engage and disengage the drive gear relative to the driven gear. A coupling structure is provided on an end of the override shaft for detachable engagement with an auxiliary driver. The auxiliary driver provides a rotational driving force to the override shaft for effecting rotation of the rotor shaft.

    摘要: A steering system for a marine pod drive is disclosed. The system includes a driving pinion attached to a driving shaft. The system further includes a driven gear mounted to a driven shaft. Moreover, the system includes an intermediate gear mounted to an intermediate shaft and in mesh with the driving pinion. Furthermore, an intermediate pinion is attached to the intermediate shaft. The intermediate pinion is in mesh with the driven gear on the driven shaft. Moreover, the intermediate pinion may be fastened with the intermediate gear by a shear pin such that the intermediate pinion rotates with the intermediate gear. The shear pin may be configured to shear when a torque transmitted through the system exceeds a rated torque value, thereby causing the intermediate gear to rotate freely on the intermediate shaft.

    摘要: A stop mechanism of a helm device includes a rotation member, rotatable disks, fixed disks, and an electromagnet which presses these disks against one another. An inversion control pin is provided in a steering shaft. Slits are formed in a cylindrical portion. Both ends of the inversion control pin are inserted into the slits. The slits are shaped to be elongated in a circumferential direction of the cylindrical portion. A first pin receiving stopper wall is formed on one end of the slits. A second pin receiving stopper wall is formed on the other end of the slits. The inversion control pin can move within the range of inversion allowance angle between the pin receiving stopper walls.

    摘要: A steering apparatus comprises a rotatable steering shaft and a sensor which senses angular movement of the steering shaft. An electromagnetic actuator actuates a stop mechanism to releasable engage the steering shaft. There is a microcontroller which causes the electromagnetic actuator to actuate the stop mechanism to fully engage the steering shaft and prevent rotation of the steering shaft in a first rotational direction, which corresponds to movement towards the hardstop position, while allowing rotational play between the steering shaft and the stop mechanism in a second direction, which corresponds to rotational movement away from the hardstop position, when the sensor senses that the steering shaft has reached a hardstop position. A driver applies a reserve polarity pulse to the electromagnetic actuator when the stop mechanism is fully engaged and the steering shaft is rotated, as permitted by the rotational play, in the second rotational direction.
