    摘要: A temporary holding section winds banknotes onto an outer peripheral face of a circular, cylinder-shaped and rotatably supported drum to retain the banknotes between a facing portion and the outer peripheral face. More specifically, the temporary holding section uses an upper side tape and a lower side tape, that respectively have one end wound onto the drum, such that accompanying rotation of the drum, the supplied banknotes are sandwiched between the tapes and the outer peripheral face. Moreover, in the temporary holding section, a movable section that presses the banknote against the drum outer peripheral face while being movable with respect to the drum is positioned with the other end further away from the drum than the facing portion.

A first gap formed between the convex guide part and the sheet member is narrower than a second gap formed between the planer guide part and the sheet member.

    摘要: An automatic document feeder includes first, second, third, and fourth paths for guiding movement of a document. The document is fed through the first path and a scanning module so as to allow for scanning of a first side surface of the document. Thereafter, a switching gate is pivoted to a first position so as to allow the document to be moved from a front section of the second path onto a roller unit via the fourth path and a rear section of the third path. The rotational direction of the middle roller is changed in response to movement of the document onto the roller unit so as to allow the document to be moved onto the first path via the third path, thereby allowing for a subsequent scanning operation on a second side surface of the document. The automatic document feeder further includes a document-inverting path such that documents are automatically arranged according to paper number.

    摘要: A slider moving in a sliding direction between first and second positions shifts a second path-defining member, relative to a first path-defining member, between first and second states. A pair of movable members each disposed on a corresponding side of a slider in a width direction is movable individually in the sliding direction to shift between third and fourth states. The movable members, when both in the third state, position the slider to the first position and, when both in the fourth state, position the slider to the second position. Each movable member supports a corresponding widthwise end of the slider immovably in the sliding direction and movably in the width direction. A support frame supporting the second path-defining member supports a widthwise central portion of the slider movably in the sliding direction and rotatably on a plane parallel to the sliding direction and the width direction.
