    摘要: Methods and apparatus for transporting a flexible substrate are provided. In one embodiment, an air turn is disclosed that includes a body, a porous cover disposed about a circumference of the body, and two seals. Each of the two seals are positioned about the circumference of the body and spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the body to define a central zone bounded by a second zone and by a third zone. The second zone and third zone are each positioned outside of a respective seal. The body includes a first opening formed along a longitudinal axis of the body, and a plurality of second openings formed in the body at a position other than along the longitudinal axis.

    摘要: A device for the treatment of strand-shaped textiles includes a treatment container, a transport nozzle array, and a transport path by way of which a material strand can be moved through the transport nozzle array in a transport direction. The transport nozzle array includes a transport nozzle with nozzle inlet and outlet orifices for the material strand, between which are delimited at least two nozzle gaps for a transport medium. At least one of the nozzle gaps is adjustable regarding its gap width. At least one nozzle gap can convey the material strand in the transport direction, and at least one nozzle gap can convey the material strand in a direction counter to the transport direction. The device also includes a control unit that selectively drives the material strand in the transport direction or in the direction counter to the transport direction by appropriate actuation of the nozzle gaps.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for transporting a tail end (6) in a fiber web machine from one structural section to another in such a way that the apparatus comprises nozzles (8) for guiding the tail end (6) on the guide plate by means of an air flow (4). In addition, the invention relates to a use of a curved plate (1) for transporting a tail end (6) in a fiber web machine from one structural section to another.

In one embodiment, a steering device for non-contact steering of a glass web having a conveyance direction and a cross direction normal to the conveyance direction includes a fluid injection bar having an elongate axis oriented in a cross direction of the glass web. The steering device also includes a pivot bearing assembly coupled to the fluid injection bar such that the fluid injection bar is pivotable in a plane perpendicular to the conveyance direction of the glass web, an actuator coupled to the fluid injection bar for adjusting the orientation of the fluid injection bar with respect to the glass web, and an edge detection device positioned proximate to an edge of the glass web for evaluating a position of an edge of the glass web.

    摘要: An air conveyor is positioned on a tabbing machine and includes a housing having an air chamber and a web entry and web exit and air port communicating with the air chamber. An air nozzle assembly is positioned within the air chamber and includes upper and lower nozzle plates that extend across the air chamber and spaced from each other to form a web delivery channel that is aligned with the web entry and web exit. Each of the nozzle plates includes a plurality of air nozzles extending through the nozzle plate and configured to pass pressurized air from the air chamber into the web delivery channel such that a web of material entering the web entry is drawn, for example, by venturi pressure, from the web entry through the web delivery channel and out the web exit.

    摘要: A wire guider includes a guiding unit having an inner path extending along the running direction of the wire to guide the running of the wire and an air supply unit for supplying air into the inner path to form a spiral air flow having a current rate faster than a running rate of the wire between an outer surface of the wire and an inner surface of the inner path. Wire Vibration resulting from a thrust force of mill rolls can be damped to more stably carry out one-direction running of the wire and minimize contact between the wire and a guide path. This reduces surface defects of the wire and abrasion of the guide system and protects a sensor unit from damage.

    摘要: A pin tentering apparatus as web transport apparatus includes a tentering mechanism for transporting self-supporting cast film by retaining web edge portions of the cast film. A gas flow device blows evaporative gas to the cast film being transported, to float the cast film. A static pressure adjuster lowers static pressure of the evaporative gas to a web middle portion with respect to a web width direction of the cast film, to regularize distribution of the static pressure in the web width direction. In the gas flow device, a blower duct introduces the evaporative gas. A nozzle plate is positioned at a front end of the duct, and has nozzles which blow the evaporative gas. Preferably, the static pressure adjuster includes an exhaust device, disposed to face the web middle portion between the plural nozzles, for exhausting the evaporative gas.
