Abstract: According to the present invention, the curling or lifting of webs that occurs during the production nonwoven fabrics, and wrinkles that form on the surface of nonwoven fabrics are prevented. Also, the webs can be easily taken off without making grip stronger than necessary. The present invention pertains to an industrial fabric formed by weaving warp and weft, wherein an embossed pattern having a concavo-convex shape is formed in the vicinity of the apex of a knuckle portion exposed on the surface side of the warp and/or weft. In particular, the industrial fabric is characterized in that the warp and/or weft having the embossed pattern are plastic monofilaments.

Abstract: To provide a towel product capable of maintaining features of honeycomb weave of the conventional technique as well as providing improved water absorbency, lightness, and a good touch feeling more than those of the towels produced by the conventional technique. The towel of the present invention basically has a typical honeycomb weave structure. A first feature thereof is to use hollow yarns having a hollow ratio of a range between 30% and 60%. A shape of hollow yarns can be maintained. With the above described structure, the water absorbency, the lightness, the good touch feeling, and a drying property can be improved. A second feature is to use hollow yarns made by twisting fibers of raw cottons having an effective fiber length of a range between 25 mm and 42 mm. This contributes to maintaining of the durability.

Abstract: A woven mesh structure with capillary action is applied to a two-phase fluid heat dissipation unit. The woven mesh structure includes multiple longitudinal lines and multiple latitudinal lines. At least two latitudinal lines with same thickness are selectively arranged as a latitudinal line set. The woven mesh structure is woven from the single longitudinal line and one latitudinal line set, which sequentially repeatedly intersect (and overlap with) each other. Accordingly, the number of the voids of the woven mesh structure is increased so that the woven mesh structure has better capillary attraction and water collection (containing) ability to greatly enhance the heat transfer performance.

Abstract: A fabric-based item may include fabric formed from intertwined strands of material such as intertwined strands of tubing. The strands of material may include electrophoretic ink formed from charged nanoparticles of different colors in fluid. The electrophoretic ink may be contained within strands of tubing or may be enclosed within encapsulation structures such as encapsulation spheres. Encapsulation spheres or other encapsulation structures may be embedded in clear polymer binder within tubing or other strands. Electroluminescent particles may be included in the clear polymer binder. Electric fields can be applied to the electrophoretic ink in a given area of the fabric using conductive strands that overlap the area, using conductive electrodes such as transparent conductive electrodes on strands of tubing, using coaxial electrodes, or using other electrode structures.

Abstract: Fabrics containing hydrophilic expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) fibers and at least one non-ePTFE fiber are provided. The fabric provides a combination of high breathability and controlled moisture management. In exemplary embodiments, the fabric may be a woven, knit, or fleece fabric. The fabrics contain at least 15% ePTFE fibers based on the final fabric. The hydrophilic ePTFE fibers in the fabrics may be used to control moisture such as water vapor, liquid water, or sweat within the fabric by storing the moisture within the hydrophilic ePTFE fiber network. Also, little to none of the moisture remains on the outside of the hydrophilic ePTFE fibers, making the fabric feel dry even where there is moisture therein. A polymer membrane and/or a textile may be laminated to the fabric to produce a laminated article.
