    摘要: A paver assembly includes a paving unit assembly having a first side wall, a second side wall, and an expandable frame connecting the first side wall and the second side wall together. The expandable frame can move the first side wall and the second side wall towards and away from one another to contract and expand the paving unit assembly so that a width of the paving unit assembly can be the same as a width of a surface paved by the paver assembly. The paver assembly can also include a first paving unit fixedly connected with respect to the first side wall and a second paving unit fixedly connected with respect to the second side wall, where the first paving unit and the second paving unit are offset with respect to one another and move past one another as the paver assembly expands and contracts.

The screed has at least a first section that is coupled to a second section. The screed has a first height adjusting member with a first seat surface for slidable contact along the first form and a second height adjusting member with a second seat surface for slidable contact along the second form. The first and second height adjusting members are adjustable to set the height and angle of the at least first and second sections of the screed within the gap.

    摘要: Segmental extension units which interlock to provide selected extension of the screed of an asphalt paving machine are disclosed. Each extension unit has a forward end incorporating locking rings adapted to mate with studs in the trailing end of a preceding extension unit. The locking rings are disposed about cam surfaces so that upon rotation of locking handles two adjacent extension units will be rigidly interconnected. Adjustment members permit adjustment of the relative positions of adjacent lower surfaces of the extension members to accommodate wear of the assemblies and to permit the use of forward and trailing edges of the screed extensions as screed surfaces. Construction details of preferred embodiments are disclosed.
