摘要: A tension model device is disclosed which has: Three struts which cross each other at or near the center portion of each strut; and a plurality of corresponding tension strands. The strands are joined from each end of all the struts to each end of the other struts. To facilitate assembly, a removable block is inserted where the struts cross each other. The block has three notches on its surface that engage the struts and space them from each other.

摘要: Provided herein is an assembly for carrying or supporting a load. The assembly comprises a plurality of members connectable in an assembled arrangement for carrying or supporting the load. Each member comprises a first end and a second end, at least one of the first end and the second end has a pair of connecting members comprising two lugs that each has defined therein two holes. The lugs are configured for alignment with a corresponding pair of lugs formed on another member in the assembly. Fasteners extend through the holes formed in the lugs when the holes are aligned. Further provided are members for use in the assembly and connector elements for attaching two or more members in the assembly.

摘要: In a modular structure consisting of rods and junction plates joined orthogonally to each other, the rods are attached by means of expanding linking pins to tubular coupling hubs provided on the front face of each junction plate at right angles therewith. The latticework rods are attached by means of connecting grippers to an enlarged attachment molding formed along one edge between two orthogonally joined junction plates having complementary beads in the mating flanges of these plates. Thus, from a latticework knot formed by two or more junction plates, rods can be branched off either orthogonal to the plates or inclined relative to the plates.

摘要: A lattice is disclosed which is made of a multiplicity of rods that are connected to one another by a series of joints. Each rod has a connecting member which serves to connect with the joint. The connecting member may be designed as a fork, the axis of which extends vertically to that of the rod. The lattice may be locked together by either a cam or by a spring clip. The resulting hollow body may be either a two- or three-dimensional object.

摘要: A jointing member for limbs of a frame is in the form of a hollow tapered unit open at its wider end, comprising more than two flat wall surfaces each inclined to each neighboring flat wall surface by an angle differing substantially from 90*, and some of said wall surfaces being apertured to receive bolting means. The member may be shaped as a truncated pyramid. In setting up a frame a flattened end of a frame limb is held between facing wall surfaces of two of said jointing members, by bolting means passing through the jointing members and the frame limb.
