    摘要: A ridge structure at a roof edge, having a base panel lying on a roof surface and a hollow ridge structure over the base panel. The hollow ridge structure is constructed in a flat spring form along the eaves, and therefore one slope of the ridge faces the roof and the other slope the opposite direction. The slope facing the roof can be lifted to receive and secure roofing materials between the slope and the base panel. When water flows down the roof surface, most water flows over the ridge structure and the rest flows into the hollow space inside the ridge structure and drains through drain holes on the base panel.

    摘要: An elevated retainer is disclosed for retaining roofing tile that include tile lugs against a roofing surface. The elevated retainer includes a retainer head, the retainer head having a base and a top. Extending from the retainer head is a reinforcing strip with as nail slot. The reinforcing strip being adapted for extending in generally parallel to the roofing surface when the base of the retainer head is placed against the roofing surface. The device also includes lug retainer that engages lugs of the roofing tile while the tile lies between the reinforcing strip and the lug retainer.

    摘要: The roof or facade cladding comprises panel-shaped construction elements (1) arranged in a scale-type pattern, and each construction element (1) comprises at least a panel part (2), a frame and at least one retaining element (6). Each construction element (1) is secured by the at least one retaining element (6) on an essentially horizontally disposed support element (27). Each retaining element (6) is disposed on the respective construction element (1) adjacent to a bottom, essentially horizontally oriented edge (5) of the construction element (1) and the point (20) of the retaining element (6) contacting the support element (27) lies closer to this bottom edge (5) than the top edge (11) of the construction element (1). Each construction element is protected from mechanical damage all the way round at the edges the frame. The retaining elements (6) primarily secure the bottom edge of the construction element (1), whilst the top part of the construction elements and their frames lie underneath the construction element disposed in the next row above and is fixed thereby.

    摘要: A shingle mounting system includes a plurality of securing strips for detachably securing shingles to a roof surface. Each securing strip includes a base portion, a folding edge, and plural projecting members attached to the base. Each shingle has a line of perforations formed through an upper edge thereof. Shingles are attached to the securing strip by placing the projecting members through the holes in the shingles, and folding the folding edge of the securing strip over the base portion. A roofing kit according to the invention includes shingles, securing strips, and at least two adjustable spacer tools. Each of the tools includes two channeled pieces that are slidably nested one inside another, and which may be locked in relative position via a locknut assembly. The tool operates to measure spaced placement of the next securing strip, eliminating the need to hand measure spacing of each succeeding shingle row.

    摘要: A roof tile fastening arrangement secures each of a plurality of concrete roof tiles, disposed in side-by-side relation, to a birdstop mounted adjacent the lower edge of a roof support structure, by a plurality of clips extending between and secured to the side edges of the tiles and to the birdstop. Each of the clips has an upper curved lip portion extending over the side edge of an associated one of the tiles. In a first embodiment, each of the clips has a lower hook portion which hooks to a different one of a plurality of drain slots adjacent the base of the birdstop. The clip is made of resilient material and has a curved body portion which may be flexed to facilitate installation of the clip and which then assumes the curved configuration to hold the clip in tension between the side edge of the associated tile and the associated drain slot in the birdstop. The clip is of thin, planar configuration and is twisted so that the upper curved lip portion forms an essentially right angle relationship with the intermediate portion. In a second embodiment, each of the clips has a body portion extending through and secured within a different one of a plurality of apertures in the birdstop. The body portion extends through a reverse curve and has a plurality of notches in a surface thereof to facilitate engagement in the aperture within the birdstop. The body portion is of generally round cross-sectional configuration and the upper curved lip portion is of generally flat, planar cross-sectional configuration. In a third embodiment, each clip is made of resilient material and has a curved body portion terminating in a lower clasp portion which resiliently locks within a rectangular aperture in the birdstop. The lower clasp portion has a base disposed against one side of the birdstop and resilient upper and lower lip portions disposed against an opposite side of the birdstop.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method of fixing roofing tiles to a roof structure. This method includes the steps of laying a lower tile on a tiling batten, passing a fastener through a preformed hole in the lower tile and engaging the batten, laying an upper tile on the lower tile in overlapping arrangement and finally connecting the upper tile to the fastener by a suitable clip.The invention also provides a roofing tile fixing clip for securing overlapping roofing tiles to a roofing structure. The clip includes a body portion, a foot adapted to engage a fastener secured to the building structure, and a hook to engage the upper tile of the overlapped tiles.
