摘要: A system for removing a volume of liquid including a pressure-sealed-pump-vessel, at least one liquid-aperture, a liquid-level-control-valve, a liquid-discharge, a sump-pump, a pressure-sealed-suction-vessel, and one or more vessel-connections. The one or more vessel-connections configured to fluidly couple the pressure-sealed-pump-vessel and the pressure-sealed-suction-vessel, in the preferred embodiment. The sump-pump is located within the pressure-sealed-pump-vessel and includes a pump-inlet and a pump-outlet. The pump-inlet fluidly coupled to the liquid-aperture, and the pump-outlet is fluidly coupled to the liquid-discharge. The sump-pump configured to pump the volume of liquid from the pressure-sealed-pump-vessel and from the system via the liquid-discharge to remove the volume of water from a roof surface or other similar horizontal or substantially horizontal surface.

摘要: A method of retrofitting a home includes providing a structural base on a ground surface adjacent to and outside the outer walls, the structural base comprising one or more air passages; installing insulation adjacent to an outer surface of the outer walls, the insulation being supported by the structural base; and installing siding material on an outer surface of the insulation, the siding material and the existing outer walls enclosing the insulation and defining a flow path, a top of the flow path comprising one or more air passages into the attic space such that air flows along the insulation in the flow path between the structural base and the attic space. A plurality of new trusses may be supported at an apex of the existing roof that overhanging the existing outer walls and the insulation, the trusses sloping direction of the slope of the existing roof.

摘要: A method of relining a chimney includes: inserting a sleeve into a chimney; subsequently coating the sleeve with a flowable refractory material while the sleeve is positioned in the chimney. The flowable refractory material hardens on the sleeve to provide a refractory surface on the inner surface of the sleeve. The sleeve may be flexible or rigid, and may be lined with an insulating material. A high-temperature resistant fabric with an aluminum foil outer liner is preferred. The flowable refractory material may be a blend of inorganic materials and inert aggregates together with a high temperature resin bonding agent. The inert aggregates may include 50-80% Al2O3 and 10-40% SiO2.

摘要: An apparatus and method for removing concrete from a ceiling surface by hydrodemolition which includes a mobile truck unit adapted for movement along a floor surface or the like and which supports a pair of upstanding telescoping support arms having an elongated boom mounted at their upper ends in a manner to enable selective orientation of the boom relative to a ceiling surface. A carriage is mounted for reciprocating movement along the boom and carries an upwardly directed lance and discharge nozzle operative to discharge high pressure fluid, such as water, against a ceiling surface such that selective movement of the nozzle and mobile truck during high pressure fluid discharge are operative to remove concrete from the ceiling surface.

摘要: A method and apparatus for installing a stanchion on a tile roof includes a tile which has an aperture and a stanchion which fits through the aperture. An existing roof tile is removed and the stanchion is connected to the roof sheathing at the place of removal. The tile is then placed over the stanchion so that the stanchion project through the aperture. In an embodiment of the invention, a sleeve surrounds the aperture and a seal provides a weather proof seal between the stanchion and the sleeve.
