Abstract:
A bar latch including a top portion including and inner and outer surface, a latch retaining aperture disposed in a fore end of the top portion and extending between the inner and outer surface, a first side portion connected to the top portion at a first angle relative to the top portion, where the first side portion includes a first arm extending beyond an aft end of the top portion, and a second side portion connected to the top portion at a second angle relative to the top portion and substantially equal but opposite to the first angle, where the second side portion includes a second arm that extends beyond the aft end of the top portion, wherein an inner surface of the first side portion, an inner surface of the second side portion, and the inner surface of the top portion collectively form a channel extending along the inner surface of the top portion, and wherein the bar latch is configured to be rotatably coupled to a door frame, the bar latch rotatable relative to the door frame between an open and a closed position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a handle arrangement comprising a handle, a deploying system of the handle pivotally coupled with the handle and comprising a toggle member pivoting about a primary axis A1 and comprising a central body with two opposite ends to which extend one arm respectively, each arm being connected to one extremity of the handle, and a counterweight pivoting about a secondary axis A2 parallel to the primary axis A1, and a declutching system cooperating with the deploying system and having a clutch position and a declutch position, wherein the declutching system cooperates with the central body of the deploying system, and wherein the declutching system, the counterweight and the toggle member pivot about respective axles.
Abstract:
A locking device is provided, preferably for a container. The locking device keeps the lid of the container closed when the container is knocked over on its side, with a sudden jerking or jarring motion, such as by impact with the ground, to prevent spillage of its contents. The locking device, however, allows the lid to open when the waste container is tipped over, preferably in a forward direction, by a dumping operation.
Abstract:
A gate latch system has a latch line operating sub-assembly, a gravity latch mechanism, and a latch bar. The latch line operating sub-assembly has a tube of a first length having male threading along the entire length, allowing the tube to be trimmed to length for gateposts of different widths. The system comprises lighting elements in handles and knobs to aid a user in operation.
Abstract:
A closure, particularly for closing construction and technological apertures, the principle of which consists in that on the bottom side of the cover of the closing hole a rocker arm is pivotally mounted, the functional part of which in the closed position of the cover rests on the opposite element, which is anchored in the closing hole. The rocker arm is pivotally attached on a pin that is anchored by means of brackets to the bottom part of the cover. The axis of the pin, on which the rocker arm is mounted, may be either parallel to the longitudinal axis of the closing hole or perpendicular to it. The rocker arm and the rocker lug are balanced relative to the pin so that the closure is maintained in a closed position.
Abstract:
A latch assembly disposed in an anti-fire door includes a tube, a blocking pin, an elastic member and a wedging member, wherein the tube comprises a main body and an accommodating space. The main body comprises a constraining slot communicating with the accommodating space, wherein the blocking pin, the elastic member and the wedging member are disposed in the accommodating space. The elastic member is used for pushing the blocking pin and the wedging member to move and making the blocking pin protruding to the tube and lodging in a door frame. The wedging member lodged in the constraining slot is used for blocking the blocking pin protruded to the tube therefore preventing the blocking pin from retracting back into the accommodating space.
Abstract:
An automatic locking apparatus mounted to a trash bin is provided. The automatic locking apparatus may also include a pair of lock bar arms and a lock bar that pivots from an unreleased position to a released position. The automatic locking apparatus may include a pivot bar, a biasing mechanism and a pivot rod. The pivot rod may rotate from a locked position to an unlocked position. The pair of lock bar arms may be perpendicularly joined to the pivot bar. The biasing mechanism may be disposed about the pivot bar so as to engage an upper tab provided by the bar pivot rod, when the bar pivot rod is in the locked position. When the pair of lock bar arms rotate to the released position, torque may be transmitted through the pivot bar to the biasing mechanism so as to urge the lock bar arms back to the unreleased position. When the pivot rod may be in the unlocked position the upper tab may be disengaged from the biasing mechanism so as to bypass biasing mechanism, when moving the pivot bar to the released position.
Abstract:
A latch assembly (10) is mounted to a follower door (275) of a double door (257) and includes a latch (231) and a pressing board (453) pivotably received in a cutout (411) of the latch (231). When the follower door (275) moves from an open position to a closed position, a pressing side (457) of the pressing board (453) is pressed by a top beam (35) of a door frame (31). The pressing board (453) pivots and presses against a bottom face (413) of the cutout (411) of the latch (231), moving the latch (231) from an unlatching position to the latching position until the pressing side (457) of the pressing board (453) completely enters the cutout (411), and then a slant face (236) of the latch (231) presses against the door frame (31), causing movement of the latch (231) from the latching position to the unlatching position.
Abstract:
A classroom barrier comprising a sliding panel or hinged panel designed to block a classroom door or window opening in certain emergency situations such as the presence of an armed assailant. The barrier is locked from the inside with no chance for it to be unlocked from the exterior. The classroom barrier is simple to operate, bullet resistant, and impenetrable for some predetermined length of time.
Abstract:
A device is capable of preventing a door and a user from being damaged by automatically locking the door during a cab tilting of a truck. An automatic door locking device having a new shape in which a locked state of the door can be forcibly maintained in a cab tilted state by an associated operation between a weight and a key lever when the cab is tilted, is implemented so that door unlocking when the cab is tilted cannot be performed and thus damage of the cab caused by opening of the door and user injury can be prevented.
