摘要： A lock including a housing having an opening for a locking bolt, a locking bolt movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, an actuator positioned within the housing, and a rotary blocking device that prevents the locking bolt from moving to the unlocked position. The lock may optionally include a tamper resistant mechanism that is designed such that attempting to forcibly move the locking bolt from the locked position to the unlocked position while the actuator remains in the locked condition causes the locking bolt to engage the tamper resistant mechanism.

The cluster box unit may also include outgoing mail compartment doors that are heavily constructed and rigidly reinforced, with the locks carried thereon protectively shielded, and with the extensible bolts of these locks being engaged by brackets that not only lock the outgoing mail compartment doors but also the master loading doors of the cluster box units. The cluster box unit may also include master loading doors are provided with hinges that extend the full height of the doors—hinges that are defined by pivotally interfitting elements of extrusions that very sturdily mount the master loading doors, that prevent prying or bending the doors in the vicinities of their hinges. The interfitting elements of the hinge extrusions also permit the doors to be installed on their surrounding door frames quickly and easily, and permit one or both of the master loading doors to be quickly and easily removed for service or replacement when necessary.

摘要： Described herein is a locking device and method which integrates mechanical components in a hollow metal door frame with electronic access components. The electronic components override the original mechanical components of the lock to create a fail-safe situation in which the original mechanical lock may be disabled. In the preferred embodiment, my upgraded locking device can be re-installed within a hollow door frame, thereby minimizing service costs and doorframe modification costs. The electronically controlled component can be a cam retaining locking bar which contains a roll pin and an open area bordered by two cut sides. The open space eases lock installation with a door by avoiding protruding door structures such as metal tabs.

The new lock solves the problems of weakness and lock death for current electromagnetic locks in market. The cost of the new lock is lower and the manufacture is easy.

The new electromagnetic lock comprises a lock shell (1), an arc style bolt (2), an electromagnet (3), an implemental part (4) of the electromagnet (3) connecting with one end of the lockpin (5), a unlock slot (7) is on the lockpin (5), a slipping block (8) is installed in a slipping slot against the lockpin, other end of this slipping block is against the bolt tail (202) of the arc style bolt. A second spring (20) is installed between the bottom of the slipping slot and the slipping block (8), the second spring (20) forces the slipping block (8) to contact the bolt tail (202) of arc style bolt. The structure of the new electromagnetic lock is simple, the manufacturing process is easy, and the new electromagnetic lock can resist relatively stronger wallop.
