    摘要: A lock mechanism according to an embodiment includes an engaging portion, a hook, and a pressing portion. The engaging portion is provided in any one of a housing and a door that is configured to open and close a housing opening portion of the housing. The hook is provided in the other one of the housing and the door to be rotatable around a rotation axis, is engageable with the engaging portion, and is normally disengaged from the engaging portion by its own weight. The pressing portion is provided separately from the hook and is configured to press the hook. The hook includes a hook side engaging portion that is configured to engage with the engaging portion with the rotation axis interposed therebetween, and a hook side pressing portion that is configured to cause the engaging portion to engage with the hook side engaging portion by being pressed by the pressing portion.

A spindle (191) pivots freely without moving the latch (38), preventing damage to components of the outer operational device (16) and the latch device (30). A base (811) of the latch device (30) can be comprised of first, second, and third plates (813, 847, 883) to allow sheet metal processing without sacrificing structural strength.

    摘要: An improved security system to prevent unwanted entrance through a hinged barrier, such as, but not limited to a door, is provided and comprises a member associated with the barrier, whether internal or eternal to the barrier, and adapted to extend from a first length to a second length. An actuation mechanism is coupled to the member and is adapted to extend the member from the first length to the second length and to contract the member from the second length to the first length. A receptacle is provided adjacent the barrier for receiving a portion of the member when the member is extended by the actuating mechanism. A hinge assembly is provided and is disposed substantially opposite the receptacle and adjacent the barrier and is coupled to another end of the member, such that when the member is actuated to the extended position, the member, receptacle and hinge assembly form a security system to prevent unwanted entrance through the barrier.
