    摘要: A corner key (10) for connecting profiles (12, 14) together and a frame work assembly formed of such corner keys (10) and (profiles (12, 14). Each profile (12, 14) has an anchoring channel (16, 18), a drainage and venting passage (20, 22) and a securing bore (24, 26). The corner key (10) has two adjacent inner corner faces (28, 30), two adjacent outer corner faces (32, 34), and opposite inner and outer side corner faces (36, 38). Tabs (40, 42) on the inner corner faces (28, 30) guide the coupling of the profiles (12, 14). Fasteners (48, 50) are inserted through the outer corner faces (32, 34) in corner key bores (44, 46) and in the bores (24, 26) of the profiles (12, 14). A drainage and venting passage (52) in the corner key (10) communicates with the drainage and venting passages (20, 22) of the profiles (12, 14).

    摘要: A support frame for a window frame is provided to address the problem of unwanted entry of moisture, such as condensation, into a building in which the window frame is mounted. The support frame includes four sections of flashing. Each section of flashing has a window frame support plate that has a window frame side and building framework side. A first longitudinal wall extends from the window frame side of the support plate. One or more longitudinal stiffening box sections continuous with the plate are provided for imparting rigidity to the flashing. Two of the sections comprise sill and header flashings spaced apart at either end by the remaining two sections, which comprise jamb flashings. Joiners connect adjacent ends of the four sections.

A filler is positioned at the butt joint between a frame section and a brace section. The filler matches the contours of a groove in the frame section. The filler extends into the brace section. The filler has an intermediate filler slot that extends parallel to the axis of the brace section. The filler also has a filler bore that extends parallel to the axis of the frame section and empties into the filler slot. Putty is forced into the filler bore and slot to seal off the butt joint from the front of the frame.

    摘要: A hybrid window frame assembly includes a primary window frame formed of a first material connected to a cladding frame formed of a second material. The cladding frame includes a peripheral channel defining a recess that receives a peripheral bead of the window frame to connect the cladding frame to the window frame. The hybrid window frame further includes injection block cutouts at each corner. Each injection block cutout exposes at least a portion of respective inner sidewalls of the channel and bead. The hybrid window frame assembly further includes injection blocks inserted in each injection block cutout. Each injection block includes at least one injection hole accessible from an exterior of the hybrid window frame assembly. The hybrid window frame assembly further includes sealant injected through the at least one injection hole of each injection block to seal respective corners of the window frame and cladding frame together.

The window case comprises several support sections arranged a certain distance apart and standing laterally out from the wall, each support section comprising a support part and an insulating part. The insulating part surrounds three sides of the second leg of the support part. In the areas between the support sections, the window case comprises insulating sections.
