Abstract:
Metallic substrates with a vitreous or glass-ceramic pigmented protective layer are obtainable by applying an alkali metal silicate-containing coating sol to the substrate or a surface thereof and thermally densifying the layer thus obtained, said alkali metal silicate-containing coating sol comprising an oxidic pigment of at least one element selected from the third and fourth main or subgroups of the Periodic Table of the chemical elements and the transition metals Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Nb and Ta.
Abstract:
Metallic substrates having a deformable vitreous coating, obtainable by applying an alkali metal silicate-containing coating sol to the substrate and thermally densifying the layer thus obtained in a two-stage heat treatment process, the heat treatment being carried out, in the first stage, either (A) in an oxygen-containing atmosphere or (B) in a vacuum at a residual pressure of ≦15 mbar and, in the second stage, in a low-oxygen atmosphere up to full densification with formation of a vitreous layer.
Abstract:
A method for producing a functional colloid during which particles are reactively fragmented in a mechanical manner in a dispersant in the presence of a modifying agent so that the modifying agent is chemically bound, at least in part, to the fragmented colloid particles.
Abstract:
A centrifugal pump comprising a pump housing made of injection-molded plastics with a first housing part, which is designed as a single piece with a suction connection and a pressure connection, and comprises a sealing area, by means of which said first housing part is joined in a liquid-tight manner to a second housing part, that receives an electric motor, and a motor housing part. In this centrifugal pump, very good leak tightness is achieved with minimum number of parts, minimum weight and minimum assembly costs with universal applicability without impairing the visual overall impression of the centrifugal pump. This objective is achieved in that the second housing part is made of a material that is permeable to laser light of a wavelength or a wavelength range, and the first housing part is made of a material that absorbs the same laser light, and the first housing part and the second housing part are heat-sealed to one another.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for producing an ink jet recording head having a high durability and a high ink resistance and enabling a high-quality image recording by employing a material capable of reducing the internal stress and having satisfactory patterning characteristics. It also provides a method of producing such ink jet recording head with a high precision. A cationically photopolymerizable resin composition containing a condensate of a hydrolysable organosilane compound, employed as a material for forming a flow path forming member, enables a reduction of internal stress and a highly precise pattern in the flow path forming member thereby providing an ink jet recording head having a high durability and a high ink resistance and capable of high-quality printing over a prolonged time, and a producing method therefor.

Abstract:
The invention is related to a permanent magnet rotor having a shaft, a hollow cylindrical permanent magnet and an elastic connecting medium between the shaft and the permanent magnet. The permanent magnet is arranged co-axially around the shaft. The task of the invention is to ensure that the permanent magnet is mounted securely, that it is not damaged during large temperature fluctuations, and that it is not deflected impermissibly from the axis of rotation in case of heavy radial load. A simple and cost-effective installation process is used in which a safe mechanical connection between the shaft and the permanent magnet is guaranteed through the entire life. According to the invention, this task is performed by virtue of the fact that an elastic connecting medium is arranged along the periphery of the shaft at several first areas in which the distance between the shaft and the permanent magnet is enlarged. These first areas are separated from the second areas in which the distance between the shaft and the permanent magnet is minimized but not zero.
