    摘要: A system and method for collecting a core sample. The system includes an outer cylindrical tube, a drive head, a drive shoe, a cooling chamber housed inside the outer cylindrical tube, insulation, a core sample liner, an inlet tube, and outlet tube. The drive shoe further comprises a first, second, and third step, the first step configured to receive the insulation, the second step configured to receive the cooling chamber, the third step configured to receive the core sample liner, wherein the first step has a diameter larger than the second step and the second step has a diameter larger than the third step. The method includes drilling a hole in the ground with a drilling tool, enclosing a core sample by a core sample liner, freezing the core sample via a cooling liquid, retrieving the drilling tool at a surface of the ground, and removing the core sample encased in the core sample liner from the cooling chamber.

    摘要: A pressure coring apparatus comprises a housing having an upper end and a lower end. A valve is coupled to the lower end of the housing and has an open position for entrance of a core and a closed position for retaining and sealing the core within the housing. A piston assembly is moveably disposed within the housing. A first volume is defined within the housing and between the upper end of the housing and the piston assembly. A second volume is defined within the housing between the lower end of the housing and the piston assembly. A pressure relief device is disposed through the housing and operable to maintain pressure within the first volume and the second volume below a target pressure.

A set of stabilizing elements (67) are spread along the outer tube to stabilize the inner tube (2). Said inner tube has a tapered shoe (32) provided with a lower bevelled lip (14). The drill also comprises a device for indicating that the core has jammed in the inner tube (2) and a sealing device (19) designed to receive a ball (46) provided for sealing the inner tube (2) of said core drill.

    摘要: Described is an inner tube element for use in a double tube device for taking soil samples during drilling operation (coring), the inner tube element comprising distinguishable end parts which are connected by a tube member of fiber reinforced plastic. According to the invention such tube member is provided with an orientation marking over its whole length and at least covered by a thin layer of plastic. An attractive embodiment of such marking are parallel lines of different color. Also is described a method for producing an inner tube element by forming a tube member between two differing end parts by winding fiber material which is impregnated with hardenable synthetic resin and hardening the tube member then formed. According to the invention a material in strip form and bearing an appropriate orientation marking is incorporated during the forming of such tube member.

    摘要: An improved coring device that incorporates a nonrotatable inner barrel disposed within the outer driving structure of the drill string which is coupled to the coring bit. A woven metal mesh sleeve is circumferentially mounted outside the inner barrel and tucked around its lower end. The lower end of the mesh sleeve in the inner barrel is in turn connected to a stripper tube which is pulled upwardly during the coring operation. As the core is cut by the coring bit and enters the inner barrel, the woven metal mesh sleeve is disposed about the core and constricts about the core when pulled upwardly by the stripper tube. The opposing end of the woven metal mesh sleeve is under a weight which serves to compress the metal sleeve when outside the inner barrel, thereby increasing its diameter. The plurality of wedge-shaped segments located on the top of the sleeve are collectively brought together to form a core catcher when that end of the woven metal mesh sleeve to which the segments are connected is drawn around and into the lower end of the inner barrel.
