Abstract: A mobile vehicle lubrication unit for serving power transmission equipment elevated above ground level such as conveyors whereby the lubricant containing gear reducer unit is disposed in an enclosed body mounted on an upper portion of an elevated conveyor. The system includes a manifold system connectable to trailer mounted storage tanks for lubricants, pumps, filters, air supplies and supply lines, and transfer means mounted on a truck or trailer including side access to the control panel and transfer hoses enabling the user to transfer lubricants to elevated equipment such as conveyors by pulling along side of same. The device changes, filters, and replaces the oil in a reducer gearbox or other lubricant containing equipment which is not easily accessed from the ground level. Air presssure is used to evaculate used oil from the conveyor gear motor and/or reducer units and replaces the used oil with filtered or new oil through oil lines and hoses with quick disconnects which may be positioned on a manifold at ground level having oil lines in fluid communication with the gear motor/reducer unit.

Abstract: A lube skid apparatus configured to be moveable and transportable. The lube skid having one or more tanks carried by a scaffold of the lube skid. One or both tanks having sloped bottom walls to optimize flow of fluids in the tanks to minimize residual fluid left in the tank. One or both tanks having sloped top walls configured to contain and direct the flow of fluid spills on the skid to an adjacent sump. The skid also carries a plurality of service devices such as a motor, an air compressor, a tank to hold compressed air, pumps to move fluid with associated filters and hoses, and one or more service storage drawers.

Abstract: An oil tank assembly for a gas turbine engine may include an oil tank having an upper compartment and a lower compartment. A baffle may separate the upper compartment of the oil tank from the lower compartment of the oil tank. A de-aerator may be included, where the de-aerator includes an oil inlet, a de-aerator outlet, and an air vent. The de-aerator may be configured to separate air from oil in an air-oil mixture such that the oil flows through the de-aerator outlet and such that the air flow through the vent. Further, the de-aerator may include a fill port for receiving oil.

Abstract: An oil filling assembly is configured to couple to an intake port of an engine to fill an oil tank connected to the intake port. The intake port is located behind an access door of the engine. The oil filling assembly includes a hopper defining an oil retention chamber that is configured to receive oil, and a coupler extending from the hopper. The coupler includes a neck defining an oil outlet fluidly connected to the oil retention chamber. The coupler is configured to removably mount to the intake port of the engine.

Abstract: An engine and transmission spacer with integrated hydraulic tank preferably includes a spacer case, an engine flange and a transmission flange. The spacer case includes an outer peripheral wall, a first outer wall and a second outer wall. The first outer wall is formed on one end of the outer peripheral wall and the second outer wall is formed on an opposing end of the outer peripheral wall. The engine flange extends from one end of the spacer case and the transmission flange extends from the opposing end thereof. A fluid cavity is formed in an inner surface of the outer peripheral wall, the first outer wall and the second outer wall. At least one pump port is preferably formed through a side of the outer peripheral wall. An oil pump is used to transfer fluid from the fluid cavity to another location.

Abstract: A method is described of supplying liquid to a liquid delivery system in a vehicle. A a replaceable liquid container including a reservoir containing liquid is releasably coupled in the vehicle to provide fluidic communication between the reservoir and a liquid delivery system of the vehicle during operation of the vehicle. The method includes the steps of : (i) prior to establishing liquid communication between the reservoir and the liquid delivery system of a selected vehicle, communicating with a data carrier carried by the container and determining data associated with at least one of the container and its contents; and(ii) using the data in an analysis of suitability of the container and/or content of the container for the selected vehicle and generating a suitability output, and(iii) establishing liquid communication between the reservoir and liquid delivery system of the selected vehicle in dependence on the suitability output.
