    Abstract: A rotor blade of a wind turbine, to an associated wind turbine and to an associated method. A rotor blade for a wind turbine, which extends in the longitudinal direction with a profile course from a blade connector to a blade tip, wherein the profile course comprises a course of a lift coefficient, comprising a hub portion adjacent to the blade connector and a tip portion adjacent to the blade tip, a middle portion adjacent to the hub portion and to the tip portion, wherein the middle portion substantially comprises those profile sections which have a relative profile thickness, which is defined as the ratio of maximum profile thickness to profile depth, of between 20% and 30%, and wherein the middle portion comprises a local minimum of the course of the lift coefficient.

    Abstract: Provided is a trailing edge assembly of a wind turbine rotor blade, which includes a mounting portion; a flap portion flexibly connected to the mounting portion so that a flap angle subtended between the mounting portion and the flap portion can be altered; a volume adjustable chamber arranged between the mounting portion and the flap portion and realised to alter its volume between a minimum volume associated with a minimum flap angle and a maximum volume associated with a maximum flap angle; and at least one tube to face into an airflow passing over the airfoil region of the rotor blade, and an inner orifice arranged to face into the interior of the volume adjustable chamber such that an airflow between the outer orifice and the inner orifice alters the volume of the volume adjustable chamber. Embodiments of the invention further describe a wind turbine rotor blade.

    Abstract: A rotor blade for a wind turbine having a blade root, a transition piece and an aerodynamic part, wherein the blade root essentially is optimized for fixation of the blade to the hub and the aerodynamic part essentially is optimized to extract energy from the wind and wherein the transition part realizes a beneficial transition between the blade root and the aerodynamic part. The rotor blade can perform better both aerodynamically and structurally compared to a classic design when the blade part located near the axis, approximately the part between 0% L and 50% L is provided with one or more of the following characteristics: more twist than usual, attached flow stimulating measures at the suction side, flow blocking measures at the pressure side, thicker profiles than usual, a triangular shape of the profile back and back twist.

    Abstract: A root airfoil of a wind turbine blade has a suction surface and a pressure surface formed at the upper portion and at the lower portion of a chord line which connects the leading edge and the trailing edge. The operating Reynolds number is 30,000 to 1,000,000, and the angle of attack of the airfoil is 0 to 21 degrees. The maximum lift coefficient is 0.8 to 1.1, and the minimum drag coefficient is 0.02 to 0.07.
