The pumping mechanism may include a barrel formed of a barrel substrate and including a first end surface, a second end surface opposite the first end surface, and a bore between the first and second end surfaces. Each of the first and second end surfaces and the bore is coated with a metal plating. The pumping mechanism may further include a plunger formed of a plunger substrate and configured to be slidably disposed in the bore in barrel, the plunger substrate having a tribological coating.

摘要: Engineered surface treatments are applied to different types of hydraulic motors and pumps to improve the life of the contacting surfaces in said motors and pumps. The engineered surface treatments are selected from texture modifications and tribiological coatings and selectively applied to one or both of the contacting surfaces to reduce friction and improve fatigue life under poor lubrication operating conditions.

The at least one pumping mechanism may include a barrel formed of a substrate having a bore and a plunger formed of a substrate and slidably disposed within the bore in the barrel. The pump may further include a coating disposed on the plunger. The coating may include a main layer containing a tribological material and a sacrificial break-in layer disposed on the main layer, the break-in layer containing a tribological material.

摘要: A pump apparatus of simple construction has a bearing structure for which a lubricant is unnecessary. A flow passage for a refrigerant (liquid ammonia) is formed in a housing to provide communication between a suction port and a discharge port, and slide bearing members formed of amorphous carbon are provided in the housing to be fitted into the flow passage to support a rotating shaft. A drive for rotating the rotating shaft is constituted by a rotor, which is fitted into the flow passage and provided with the rotating shaft, and a stator, which is provided outside the housing to surround the rotor, and a pump body is provided midway the flow passage and connected to the rotating shaft to pump a fluid.

摘要: A method for coating surfaces of a screw machine. The method includes the steps of providing at least one of a plurality of screw machine components including a rotor housing having at least a pair of parallel, overlapping bores; at least a conjugate pair of intermeshing rotors located in the bores, wherein each of the rotors has helical lobes having radially outward tip portions and intervening radially inward root portions; rough coating a surface of at least one of the plurality of components with a conformable coating, wherein the coating is substantially unevenly applied to the surface and has variable thickness over said surface; and leveling the conformable coating to a substantially uniform thickness prior to final assembly of the plurality of components, the substantially uniform thickness selected to ease assembly of the components, while maintaining coating performance criteria.
