摘要: An over-running clutch couples a motor driven shaft to a driven element in which the element can freely rotate when the motor is switched off. The driven shaft of the clutch includes a flattened portion with two flat surfaces. A wall of a coupling member engages one of the surfaces when the driven shaft stands still. The coupling member includes an outwardly extending cam which is received in a sleeve of a cylindrical collar positioned on a disk which is rotatably mounted on the driven shaft. When the shaft is rotated, the coupling member is pressed outward over a limited distance and the cam enters a recess provided in the inner wall of a cylindrical drive portion forming part of the driven element.

摘要: An anti back-drive coupling (5) comprises an input (20) driveable about an axis A in a clockwise and anticlockwise direction in torque transmitting communication, via a mechanism, with an output (40) driveable about the axis by the input in either of the rotational directions, the mechanism including: a tube (29), driveable by the input, carrying two cages (21) and (23) spaced along the axis A, each cage housing rollers (26) and (28) respectively; an output member 48 for driving the output (40), including two flattened formations (42) and (44) adjacent each cage in use, for engagement with the rollers (26) and (28) respectively; and a back-torque reaction freewheels (30) and (32) engageable with the rollers, for reacting back-torque transmitted through said output member (48) and into the rollers.

摘要: A clutch including a drive shaft, drive side rotation body, driven shaft, driven side rotation body, clutch housing, and lock member is disclosed. During non-rotation of the drive side rotation body, when the driven side rotation body is rotated, the lock member is pushed by the driven side rotation body and moved outward in a radial direction thereby bringing the contact portion into contact with the inner circumferential surface of the clutch housing. During rotation of the drive side rotation body, the drive side rotation body pushes a drive side cam surface in the rotation direction, and the drive side cam surface acts to move the lock member inward in the radial direction and push the lock member against the driven side rotation body. Thus, the lock member is sandwiched between the drive side rotation body and the driven side rotation body thereby coupling the drive side rotation body and the driven side rotation body with the lock member to be integrally rotatable.

摘要: A double-acting drive for adjustment devices in motor vehicles comprises: a drive element which is turnable or rotatable in the one or the other direction about a drive axis; an output wheel which is connected to the adjustment device, is adjustable in its angle and comprises a rotationally symmetric inner wall; and a band-shaped coupling element, which is arranged in the force flow between the drive element and the output wheel, is braced with the rotationally symmetric inner wall of the output wheel and carries along the output wheel in circumferential direction if the drive element is moved from a starting position in the one or the other direction. The ends of the band-shaped coupling element overlap each other and form coupling levers which run secant-shaped on both sides of the drive axis and which are carried along by the drive element in dependence on the rotational direction of the drive element for expanding and bracing the band-shaped coupling element with the rotationally symmetric inner wall of the output wheel and which abut on support noses of the band-shaped coupling element, the support noses being arranged substantially perpendicular to the coupling levers.

摘要: The present invention discloses and claims a torque transfer mechanism. The torque transfer mechanism connects an input shaft to an output shaft to transmit rotation and torque in either direction from the input shaft to the output shaft. The torque transfer mechanism also inhibits the transmission of rotation and torque in at least one direction from the output shaft to the input shaft. In alternate embodiments, the torque transfer mechanism may transmit rotation and torque in one direction from the output shaft to the input shaft. In still further embodiments, the torque transfer mechanism may inhibit the transmission of rotation and torque in either direction from the output shaft to the input shaft.

摘要: A winch assembly includes a housing member, a drum rotatably coupled to the housing member, a drive shaft extending through the drum and into the housing member, a gear train located within the housing member, and an actuation mechanism. The gear train includes a sun gear driven by the drive shaft, a ring gear, and a planetary gear assembly driven by the sun gear and including a planetary gear rotatably coupled to a carrier plate and engaged with the ring gear. The actuation mechanism includes a locking member displaceable between first and second positions and a biasing member having a radially extending arm engaged with the locking member to provide displacement between the first and second positions. The locking member rotationally fixes the ring gear relative to the housing member in the first position and allows relative rotation between the ring gear and the housing member in the second position.
