    摘要: An adaptive bearing energy absorber has at least one core post, two supporting boards, multiple first material layers, and multiple second material layers. Each one of the at least one core post is composed of at least one sliding unit. At least one of the at least one sliding unit of each one of the at least one core post is a sliding assembly. Each one of the at least one sliding assembly has two ends, at least one sliding block, and at least one sliding cover. The at least one sliding cover is slidable relative to the sliding block, and each one of the at least one sliding cover has at least one limiting flange protruding from the sliding cover to limit the sliding range of the at least one sliding block relative to the sliding cover.

    摘要: An energy absorber including a pair of shear dampers mounted back to back on a common axis. Each shear damper has a central core of damping material, confined by a laminated structure of rigid plates, preferably separated by resilient material. The cores and surrounding laminates are compressed between a pair of distal end plates and an end plate common to both dampers. The common end plate may be attached to one structural member and the distal end plates to another structural member to dampen relative motion between them.

    摘要: An energy absorber for interposing between two members to absorb energy of motion which may be induced between the two members includes a core (3) of a plastically deformable energy absorbing material such as lead and structure surrounding the core such as layers of steel plates (2) and rubber (1) in a sandwich-like arrangement structure. The end plates (4) are formed with holes (5), into which the ends of the core (3) project. During construction, the support structure (1, 2) is stretched, allowing end caps (6) to be fitted. The support structure (1, 2) is then relaxed, which applies approximately hydrostatic pressure to the core (3). Induced motion is transferred as shear forces across the core (3). The hydrostatic pressure applied to the core (3) preferably exceeds the shear yield stress of the energy absorbing material of the core (3).

    摘要: A seismic isolating bearing for supporting a building on a foundation includes a laminated body adapted to be interposed vertically between the upper and lower structures. The laminated body comprises alternately arranged viscoelastic layers and stiffener plates, having a hole defined vertically therein, and an energy absorber assembly disposed in the hole, for absorbing energy applied thereto. The energy absorber assembly comprises a lead block inserted in the hole, with the lead block having an intermediate portion held against an inner circumferential surface of the hole. The energy absorber assembly also has a viscoelastic cylindrical body disposed between an outer circumferential surface of at least one of upper and lower end portions of the lead block and the inner circumferential surface of the hole.
