摘要： A hydraulically operated planetary transmission and motor assembly mounted on the hub of two or more wheels of a four wheeled vehicle for providing wheel driving torque with the transmission set in drive. In an alternate form, the transmission and motor assembly is mounted on the hub of a winch to provide the power drive. The transmission is hydraulically engageable and disengageable and includes a lock whereby the transmission can be locked in either the engaged or disengaged position. The arrangement of components provides easy access for maintenance and for change out of gears to gear sets having different gear ratios all within the same transmission housing.

摘要： An automatic transmission structure of the planetary type including a planetary gear set providing a plurality of forwarddriving ratios and a reverse-driving ratio and having remote means for applying a friction brake to establish one of the ratios, the remote means including an annular member extending from a hydraulic servomotor on one side of the planetary gear set to a friction brake mechanism on the other side of the planetary gear set so as to apply said friction brake remotely and further includes a sheet metal part interconnecting two elements of the planetary gear set and the output shaft of the transmission.
