    摘要: A high-pressure plug valve is refurbished by replacing a valve plug, a valve plug cage, and flow path inserts that line a flow path through the plug valve. The valve plug cage has first and second opposed flat side surfaces, each side surface has a port for receiving one of the replaceable flow-path inserts in a fluid-tight seal. In one embodiment, refurbishing the plug valve includes replacing at least one inset seal for sealing at least one of the ports when the plug is in a closed position to inhibit leakage through the valve at low fluid pressures.

    摘要: A plug valve has a valve body, a cage fitted within the valve body and a rotatable plug housed within a cylindrical cavity in the cage, for controlling fluid flow through the valve. The cage has first and second opposed flat side surfaces, each side surface has a port for receiving a replaceable flow-path insert in a fluid-tight seal. In one embodiment, the plug also includes at least one inset seal for sealing the at least one of the ports when the plug is in a closed position to inhibit leakage through the valve at low fluid pressures.

    摘要: A changeover valve comprises a first valve member and a second valve member. The first value member has an aperture. The second valve member has first and second apertures. The first valve member is movable relative to the second valve member for selective alignment of the first value member aperture with one or other of the apertures of the second valve member. The value also has a ramp and follower means for automatically moving the valve member away from the one another during changeover movement of the first valve member relative to the second valve member so that wear on the surfaces of the valve members is minimized.

    摘要: An arrangement for top entry ball valve, providing relief from seating load when turning the ball to effect either opening or closing of the valve by a handle connected to the ball via a stem. The arrangement including: a nut having an external thread thereon, the nut being secured to the stem by a key to ensure positive rotation of the nut with the stem during the valve opening or closing; a spring operatively engaging the stem to inhibit free rotational movement thereof relative to the valve body; a handle threaded engaging the external thread of the nut; and an abutment on the nut and projecting therefrom and adapted to engage a further abutment on the handle, the further abutment comprising a slot in the handle, the slot being of greater circumferential dimension to that of the nut abutment whereby the nut abutment and further abutment are positionable one to another in spaced relation affording limited and relative rotational movement between the nut and the handle via the engaging threads whereby to impart receptacle movement of the stem relative to the handle and whereupon engagement of the nut abutment would be further handle abutment, the handle imparts rotational movement to the stem and accordingly the ball relative to the valve body.

    摘要: A device for the control of at least one throttle diameter in a control line, especially in a line carrying fuel for an internal combustion engine, is proposed. The device includes at least one circle segment-like control section in a control bore intersecting the control line, the section pivotable around an axle and opening to a larger or lesser degree the throttle diameter formed by the intersection. The control bore has a circularly arched sealing surface surrounding the throttle diameter extending eccentrically to the axle and with which the control section, also disposed eccentrically to the axle and disposed pivotably, works together in such a way, that the radial distance between the circumference of the control section and the sealing surface is nearly zero when the control section is in a closed position, and increases during a pivotal movement in the direction of opening the throttle diameter. The radii of sealing surface and control section are of the same size and proceed from a circular arc with a radius around the center line of the axle.
