    摘要: Provided is a method of measuring a degree of degradation/alteration of a lubricating oil, including obtaining dielectric constants or electrostatic capacitances at two or more different frequencies and determining a degradation/alteration state of the lubricating oil based on values of the dielectric constants or the electrostatic capacitances, in which one frequency (H1) of the two or more frequencies is in a range of 1 to 100 Hz, and another frequency (H2) is more than the frequency (H1) and in a range of 10,000 Hz or less. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a method of measuring a degree of degradation/alteration of a lubricating oil and a measuring device therefor, which are capable of measuring a degree of degradation of the lubricating oil easily and precisely and predicting a degradation/alteration mechanism of the lubricating oil.

    摘要: A multi-element fluid sensor system for determining the health state of a fluid. The sensor system includes at least two sensors for collecting data relating to a particular parameter (e.g., pH, temperature, conductivity, chemistry, viscosity) of the fluid. The at least two sensors may be integrated onto a semiconductor base so as to provide for a micro sensor for in situ monitoring of the fluid. The system also includes a data fusion processor operatively coupled to the at least two sensors. The data fusion processor processes the fluid data to at least compensate for information fragmentation attributed to using the at least two sensors. The data fusion processor may condense the data, combine the data, evaluate the data and interpret the data.

    摘要: A lubrication monitoring system for monitoring the lubricative state of two relatively movable elements of a linear transmission device includes a contact resistance capturing device and a processing unit. The contact resistance capturing device for detecting the contact resistance between the two elements and converting it into a corresponding value. A maximum delay time and a threshold value are preset in the processing unit. A period of time during which the linear transmission device starts to run and then the corresponding value reaches the threshold value defines a delay time. If the specific value of the delay time to the maximum delay time is larger than or equal to a predetermined specific one, it will be judged that the lubrication needs resupply. Therefore, monitoring the lubricative state as the linear transmission device is accelerated can get correct lubricative state to enable correct lubrication resupply.

    摘要: A diagnostics/prognostics system and related method for collecting and processing data relating to a plurality of subsystems of a dynamic system includes a plurality of sensors, each sensor gathering data and generating a data signal indicative of the health of a corresponding one of the subsystems. In addition, the diagnostics/prognostics system includes a plurality of subsystem modules coupled to corresponding ones of the sensors for generating a subsystem health signal in response to corresponding ones of the data signals. Further, a master diagnostics module is coupled to the subsystems to generate an overall system health signal in response to the subsystem health signals. Preferably, the master diagnostics module includes a memory having an embedded model to facilitate generating the overall system health signal and a related trend analysis. Preferably, a controller is used to generate a control signal in response to at least one of a group consisting of the subsystem health signals and the vehicle health signal, the control signal causing an operation parameter of at least one of the subsystems to change. The diagnostics/prognostics system is especially well suited for vehicles, but can also be applied to other dynamic systems.
