    摘要: The inner diameter at the bottom of a case is gradually decreased from upper to lower positions. A bottom surface of a communication hole of a drain housing provided in an opening of the case has an inclined surface inclined toward a drain discharge hole. An outer marginal portion which is positioned at the uppermost position in the bottom surface of the communication hole is in the same plane as or lower than a marginal portion which is positioned at the lowermost position in an inner circumferential surface of the case and adjacent to the opening.

    摘要: Provided is a steam trap, in which an inlet and an outlet in a body are formed collinearily and a float for opening/closing the outlet is included. The steam trap having a float within a case includes the case, a cover, a strainer, the float, an arm, a gate, a lever, and a valve plug. The case includes therein an inlet through which condensate and water flow in and an outlet through which the condensate flow out. The cover is bolt-coupled to the case. The strainer is formed in the inlet and filters foreign substances. The float is formed within the case. The arm is formed at the bottom of the float. The gate is screw-engaged with one side of the case and has an orifice formed therein. The lever connects the gate and the arm. The valve plug is formed in the lever and opens and closes the outlet.

A snap mechanism which is actuated to operate the working fluid inlet port and the working fluid discharge port with the upward and downward strokes of the float, to thereby force a liquid in the hermetic vessel out through the forced-feed liquid discharge port. A power transmitting shaft for transmitting the upward-and-downward movement of the float to the snap mechanism extends out of the hermetic vessel. The snap mechanism is disposed outside of the hermetic vessel.

    摘要: A pressure powered pump has valve members 18, 20 operated by a float acting through an overcenter mechanism 24. The overcenter mechanism has a valve actuating lever 36, on which are provided actuating pins 46, 48 for engagement with the respective valve members 18, 20. When the valves are closed, there is a substantial clearance a between the actuating pins 46, 48 and the respective valve member or its stem 50. This causes the actuating pin 46, 48 to apply an impact to the-valve member 18, 20, so assisting its opening movement. Stops 58, 60 are provided to arrest the valve actuating member 36 at its stable end position, so avoiding high impacts being applied to the valve members 18, 20 when they close.

    摘要: A gas powered pump tank is alternately filled with liquid such as water at low pressure, and then emptied by gas pressure such as from pressurized steam. An auxiliary exhaust assist valve opens at a threshold pressure after switching from the pumping phase to the filling phase to more quickly vent the pressure in the tank and minimize obstruction of the incoming flow of liquid. The pump tank has inlet and outlet check valves for the liquid, permitting flow only in a positive pumping direction. A gas inlet valve and a primary gas exhaust valve are controlled by an alternating mechanism such as a float with a snap action toggle that opens one of the gas valves while closing the other. The auxiliary exhaust assist valve has a valve body spring biased inwardly of the tank, and opens at a pressure lower than the pumping pressure, thereby venting the tank more rapidly and also assisting in venting any additional steam produced by boiling of the water or other liquid. The auxiliary exhaust valve can vent into the gas exhaust port, being associated with the primary exhaust valve, or into the open. The auxiliary exhaust valve can be partly controlled, and in particular held closed, by the float toggling mechanism, especially when arranged to vent at a relatively high pressure in proportion to the pumping pressure.

    摘要: A toggle linkage over-center mechanism employs first and second solid, metal links having facing axial ends pivoted to each other for pivoting about a first axis, the first link is pivotably coupled at one end to the fixed support for pivoting about a second pivot axis. The second link has an opposite axial end pivotably coupled about a third axis to an element for causing over-center movement of the pivotably coupled first and second links through a center line defined by the first and third pivot axes. Tension coil springs having opposite ends are pivotably coupled to respective outboard ends of the pivotably coupled first and second links. One of the rigid metal links is adjustable over its length to preload the tension coil springs to a sufficient magnitude to maintain preload tension within the over-center toggle linkage mechanism over the full range of movement of the toggle links between oppositely oblique over-center positions. The pivot axis between the end of the second link remote from the pivot connection between the first and second links defines a free pivot axis which moves relative to the fixed support. An actuator stem is pivotably mounted to the first link for pivoting about an axis parallel to the first, second and third pivot axes. The second link may be of dumbbell configuration and consist of two axial sections each having a cylindrical head, with one head having a tapped bore receiving a fine thread cylindrical shank sized and threaded to the tapped bore. Relative rotation between the two sections of the second link effect axial length adjustment of that link.
