    摘要: Device including a casing formed by non-conducting material fastenable to the household appliance, electrical supply means and a lighting circuit carried by the casing, and a spark plug fastenable to the household appliance in proximity of burner means carried by the household appliance so as to be electrically connected to earth; the lighting circuit being adapted to supply a high voltage alternating current to said spark plug to make it generate a spark adapted to produce the lighting of a flame following the feeding of a combustible gas flow to the burner means; wherein the supply means are direct current low voltage generator means carried by and accommodated in the casing and supply in parallel said lighting circuit, through ac/dc transformer means, and a control circuit, through electrical disconnection means from the lighting circuit, the control circuit being electrically connected to the spark plug and to a first terminal of a LED indicator fastenable in use to the household appliance and having a second terminal connected to earth, for selectively producing the turning on or off of the LED indicator in consequence of a passage or interruption of a dispersion current to earth which flows in use to the spark plug when the flame is lit.

    摘要: A gas monitoring system for use with a gas-fired boiler in a house or the like. The boiler is supplied with flammable gas. The system comprises a transducer, a visible and audible alarm circuit, a digital access terminal, an exhaust fan, and alarm systems, which may be audible or visual. Leaked gas is detected by a gas transducer which produces a voltage indicative of the presence of gas. An electronic circuit, which comprises a comparator, buffer, and power transistor, receives the voltages from the transducer and, when a predetermined level of voltage is received, turns on and closes two switches. One switch enables an audio alarm and provides power to a second switch. The second switch, when closed, joins a source of power to a visual alarm (a bulb), turns on an exhaust fan, and closes a normally open solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is in the gas-conveying conduit. Closing the valve shuts off the unwanted flow of gas. The first switch is provided with a manual reset switch for resetting the system.

    摘要: This disclosure relates to apparatus of the kind suitable for taking spot measurements of the heat loss or stack loss and/or efficiency (.eta.) in flue gases (stack loss) and comprises respective sensors (5, 3) for producing output signals which vary with the temperature and the concentration of a constituent gas e.g. O.sub.2 of the flue gases and microprocessor-based computation means (10) arranged to derive measurement values of (and numerically equal to) the measured temperature and constituent gas concentration, from the two sensors and to apply these measurement values in the computation of a predetermined formula relating the stack loss or efficiency to the measured quantities. In accordance with the invention, the apparatus is arranged to automatically calibrate each sensor signal from a test measurement prior to deriving the measurement values. This may be achieved in the case of a sensor having a non-linear response, by performing a calculation of a formula defining the non-linear response of the sensor using a coefficient derived from the test measurement. The sensor output signal is thus automatically calibrated and "linearized" from a single test measurement. The predetermined stack loss or efficiency formula may be modified for different types of fuel, and temperature and O.sub.2 (or CO.sub.2) values used in the calculation as well as the result of the calculation may be presented on a visual display (24).
