摘要: A thermostatic valve including a housing that defines a housing inlet and a housing outlet and a valve body having an end wall and a side wall that define a valve chamber within the housing. The end wall defines an annular valve seat and a valve inlet opening encircled thereby while the side wall defines a plurality of valve outlet openings communicating with the valve chamber. Retained within the valve chamber is a resilient, annular seal encircling the valve inlet opening and a bi-metallic disc substantially parallel to the valve seat and normally spaced therefrom by a distance greater than the thickness of the annular seal. In response to a predetermined ambient temperature the bi-metallic disc deflects concavely into the valve chamber and into fluid sealing engagement wih one end of the annular seal forcing an opposite end thereof into fluid sealing engagement with the valve seat.

摘要: In a fluid flow system, such as for central heating, the pipework includes a valve which may be regarded as a socket to which an appliance may be connected at will so as to utilise the fluid in the system, the valve being automatically maintained in closed position but opened by connection means on the appliance when the appliance is connected to the system. Preferably, a plurality of valves are provided at appropriate locations so that the appliance can be connected at any selected location, and the valve may control both outlet and inlet fluid flows.

摘要: In order to solve the numerous problems with existing steam, vacuum, and hot water heating systems, presented are novel systems and methods of vapor vacuum heating having several improvements over the prior art, including: condensate return which can operate without steam traps; naturally-induced vacuum; improved vacuum pump operation for sustaining vacuum in such systems; liquid lift apparatus for use with such systems; and other improvements. All innovations presented herein make vapor vacuum heating more efficient and economical for industrial, commercial, and home applications. A field test conducted with these innovations show results of about 26-50% reduced energy usage, implying significant energy savings from the use of the present invention over current heating systems.

摘要: A heat exchanger, intended for use in hot water heaters, in which a tank and a hot water inlet pipe are formed integrally with each other, at a junction of which is placed a valve for control of the flow rate of hot water. The valve has a valve body disposed in close contact with a valve seat for rotation about its own axis relative thereto. Secured to the valve body is a rotary shaft which can be operated from outside. The valve body and the valve seat have respective through holes formed therein which can register with each other with their registered area variable to vary the flow rate of hot water with a change in the registered area of these through holes. The valve body is adapted to be placed in tight contact with the valve seat substantially solely by the pressure of hot water in the inlet pipe.
