摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an interface for a fan that includes a first bracket coupled to the fan, where the fan is configured to direct a flow of air through an opening of a duct, and the opening comprises a central axis extending therethrough, a second bracket coupled to a frame surrounding the opening of the duct, where the first bracket and the second bracket are configured to surround the opening of the duct, the second bracket is configured to support the first bracket, and the second bracket is partially radially within the first bracket relative to the central axis of the opening, and a gasket disposed between the first bracket and the second bracket, where the first bracket, the second bracket, and the gasket are configured to sealingly engage with one another without mechanical securement.

摘要: A method of controlling indoor air humidity includes determining a dew point set point and determining a dew point of air from a space within a building. The method also includes, in response to determining that the dew point satisfies the dew point set point, determining a vent air dew point of air in an external environment surrounding the building. The method further includes, in response to determining that the vent air dew point is below the dew point set point by a dew point threshold, controlling a connecting member of a damper assembly to position a first damper of the damper assembly in an open position to draw in vent air from the external environment into the space, and to position a second damper of the damper assembly in a close position to substantially prevent recirculation of air through the dehumidifier.

摘要: An energy efficient hybrid variable air volume terminal system with multiple heating coils to enhance temperature control in each individual room in a plurality of rooms. The hybrid variable air volume terminal system includes a novel hybrid variable air volume box that has one inlet duct and a plurality of outlet ducts coupled to the novel hybrid variable air volume box. Each outlet duct has a heating coil operably connected thereto which can be operably connected to any number of the plurality of rooms to provide an energy efficient building management system. In certain embodiments, either an actual or a virtual thermostat is operably connected to the hybrid variable air volume terminal system to control the operation of the system remotely. In certain embodiments, the hybrid variable air volume terminal system comprises an automated air balance system or an automated space control damper and demand response control system to control and/or vary the amount of air flow.

摘要: A complete plastic HVAC system assembled using individual plastic components for ensuring the efficient and quiet distribution of air from a central air unit to multiple distribution points and preventing heating and cooling losses, the need for installers to stock multiple sized and shaped components, the accumulation of dust, dirt and pollens during storing, installing and use on the surfaces of the individual components. The fittings have a collar sizable to fit both 6 and 7-inch pipe, whether flexible or rigid. The use of plastic fittings, duct and pipe removes the potential of injury commonly associated with conventional metal ductwork, while providing seamless components that can be configured for any type of installation and insure an air tight connection between adjoining surfaces. The individual fittings include a register boot, torpedo boot, straight boot, rigid and flexible pipe and couplers, straight and 90-degree takeoffs, a plastic duct and duct end cap.

In one embodiment, a flow control mechanism is positioned adjacent to the opening for controlling the amount of conditioned flowing through the opening.
