    摘要: A portable, refrigerant recovery unit for transferring refrigerant from a refrigeration system to a storage tank. The recovery unit includes two, opposed piston heads rigidly attached to respective piston rods that extend along a common fixed axis. The piston rods are rigidly attached to the yoke member of a scotch yoke arrangement. In operation, incoming refrigerant from the system is simultaneously and continuously directed to the opposing piston heads wherein the forces of the pressurized refrigerant on them counterbalance or neutralize one another. The recovery unit also has a cooling fan driven by the motor for driving the scotch yoke in which the fan is driven through a step up gearing arrangement. In operation, the drive shaft of the motor is rotated at a first rate and the driven shaft of the fan is driven at a greater rate (e.g., twice the first rate) by the step up gearing arrangement.

    摘要: Portable, hand carryable acid purification and flushing and transfer systems are provided for use in various refrigerant recovery, recycling and flushing operations performed in conjunction with an air conditioning circuit. The acid purification system is disposed within a carrying housing and includes an accumulation/distillation type acid separator piped in series with a pair of cylindrical dual core filter assemblies. A pair of refrigerant inlet and outlet fittings are externally mounted on the housing. By connecting these fittings in a forced flow refrigerant circuit the refrigerant is passed sequentially through the acid separator and the first and second filter assemblies to cleanse the refrigerant of acid and particulate impurities therein. The portable flushing and transfer system is also disposed in a carrying housing and includes a high capacity liquid refrigerant transfer pump piped in series with a check valve and a relief valve. Inlet and outlet valves mounted on the housing may be connected to an air conditioning circuit to provide for rapid recycling or recovery of its refrigerant. An adapter kit is furnished with the flushing and transfer system and includes connecting hoses, strainer and filtration apparatus, and specially designed adapter fittings that permit the system to be connected to a variety of air conditioning circuits.

    摘要: A system and methods associated therewith for providing a load controller for a refrigerant recovery unit are disclosed. The load controller can be controlled to operate when the current drawn by the motor increases due to pressure changes caused by abnormal refrigerant flow or during activation of the motor in order to lower the pressure. In some aspects of the present disclosure, the load controller can lower the pressure by recirculating some of the pressure load through the opening of a compressor bypass loop line. In some embodiments, the current/pressure load may be monitored during the operation of the refrigerant recovery unit and set to act as an emergency shut off and alert system to the user when the system malfunctions.

The same motor drives a vacuum pump via a second freewheel in the other rotational direction. The maintenance machine, which can perform two different functions, includes only one single motor. The machine is lightweight, so that it can be carried by the maintenance personnel. Furthermore, it is small and can be produced in a cost-effective manner.
