    摘要: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for cooling the exhaust gases of a molten stage furnace. The method relates to furnace structures in which the shaft (3) is vertical and the exhaust gases are passed through an outlet in the furnace roof to the cooling equipment without recovering heat from the exhaust gases through the wall portions above the furnace. The exhaust gases are cooled in two stages first indirectly by a circulating mass cooler (1) and then further in a waste heat recovery boiler. In the apparatus according to the invention, the vertical shaft section above the furnace is connected to a circulating mass cooler which is connected to a waste heat recovery boiler arranged, e.g., next to the furnace and/or the shaft.

    摘要: An internal heat exchange tube for cooling work within an industrial furnace is positioned to extend within the furnace and is closed at its axial end which is inside the furnace. Within the tube is an open ended, thin wall inner tube formed in the shape of a helical coil. Water introduced into the inner tube distributes thermally induced, circumferential stress gradients about both tubes to prevent tube bending while achieving fast cooling of the outer tube.

    摘要: A vacuum furnace having a heating chamber for heat treating work parts under vacuum therein, and a cooling chamber located adjacent to the heating chamber for receiving the heat treated work parts for the rapid cooling thereof, the work parts being rapidly cooled in the cooling chamber by the circulation of a cooling gas therein, a high-velocity fan being provided in the cooling chamber for the rapid circulation of the cooling gas over the work parts, heat transfer means located in the cooling chamber and over which the cooling gas is circulated for withdrawing heat therefrom after the passage of the gas over the work parts, and a unique door arrangement being located in the cooling chamber to insure the sealing of the cooling chamber both during the evacuation thereof upon transfer of the work parts thereto and during the cooling cycle therein, whereby in the cooling cycle the pressurized cooling gas within the cooling chamber acts to seal an inner door so that the use of exterior clamps and/or locks for sealing the cooling chamber is avoided.

    摘要: A vacuum pressure furnace and/or a cooling plate for a vacuum pressure furnace is described, having a cooling channel or tube that selectively circulates a liquid coolant at a reduced temperature. The cooling channel “snakes” back and forth through a target plate assembly to conduct heat from the target plate assembly and back to the coolant. The target plate assembly includes a plurality of clamp members that are screwed over portions of the cooling channel and to a bottom of a plate member of the assembly, enclosing portions of the cooling channel. Thermal sheets or foil are wrapped around the cooling channel, thereby bridging any gaps between the components that may occur during temperature changes due to thermal expansion/contraction.

    摘要: The cooling zone (24) for a kiln, more specially a roller kiln, made up of a preheating zone (21), a firing zone (22) and a cooling zone (24), through which the goods to be kilned (10), more specially ceramic tiles or plates are transported without any burning tools of refractory material supporting them, is (for the purpose of stopping any effect on the kilned goods in the cooling zone (24) and in the parts next to the cooling zone (24), because of the effect of the atmosphere in the cooling (24) and any reoxidation of the kilned goods (10) because of this, and for giving a simple way of producing effect on the outer face of the kilned goods (10) using a moving heat vehicle, more specially liquid heat vehicle) is indirectly cooled, and has inlet systems, able to undergo adjustment in their direction and their rate of inlet, for materials for producing an effect on the outer face of the kilned goods. The indirect cooling is more specially produced by having tube coils or tube banks (3 ) for the heat vehicle in the cooling zone (24) over the kilned goods (10). The outer faces of such tubes taking up radiant heat are controlledly screened off, (at 5) on the kilned goods (10) and are placed so as to be normal to the direction of motion of the kilned goods (10). The screening system (5) may be made up of slotted plates able to be moved in relation to each other, or slotted plates able to be changed in position in relation to each other. The tube coils or banks of tubes (3) for the heat medium may be joined up with plants, or parts of the kiln, for recovery of the heat.
