    摘要: A stereoscopic image display apparatus including: a light source unit; a light guide plate having an incidence surface and an emission surface; and a liquid-crystal panel which spatially modulates light. The light source unit emits the light so that the light is incident on the incidence surface in the first and second directions for the right and left eyes of a viewer, which are different from each other and each is inclined at a predetermined angle in the emission surface with respect to a reference direction perpendicular to an alignment direction of the right and left eyes of the viewer. Also, the light emitted from the emission surface of the light guide plate is in a direction which is determined according to the propagation direction of the incident light and in which a component in the alignment direction, included in the propagation direction, is maintained.

    摘要: An image projection apparatus includes a projector, a frame, and a partially transparent screen. The frame retains the screen under tension, such that the screen is inclined at an angle with respect to a plane of emission of light from the projector. The screen has a front surface arranged such that light emitted from the projector is reflected therefrom. The projector projects an image such that light forming the image impinges upon the screen such that a virtual image is created from light reflected from the screen, the virtual image appearing to be located behind the screen.
