The first part of the shaft of a first instrument of the instruments is articulatable between the body of the first instrument and the guide tube. The guide tube and the instruments are collectively rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the guide tube.

摘要: A lens unit for an endoscope includes: a lens holding frame provided with a through hole extending from a distal end side to a proximal end side; a convex portion; a first lens including a first portion arranged on the distal end side, and a second portion whose outside edge forms a step portion to which the convex portion is housed; and a second lens arranged near the distal end side. The second lens is positioned closer to the proximal end than an end portion of the lens holding frame on the distal end side in a first state where the second portion is arranged closer to the proximal end than the first portion. At least a part of the second lens protrudes from the end portion in a second state where the first portion is arranged closer to the proximal end than the second portion.

摘要: An endoscope is provided with a main part, an endoscope shaft and an imaging lens system. An imaging lens system includes a correction module, which comprises a splitter unit and a superimposition unit. Light is routed to the correction module via a first beam path, which is split into a first and a second partial beam path by the splitter unit. The splitter unit guides light from the visible spectrum into one of the two partial beam paths and light from the near infrared range into the other partial beam path. The superimposition unit superimposes the light from the two partial beam paths and guides it into a second beam path, coaxial with the first beam path. The optical path lengths of the two partial beam paths for the light from the visible spectrum and the light from the near infrared range are selected such that they are different.

摘要: An optical endoluminal far-field microscopic imaging catheter comprises a light generating system, a first light delivery conduit for propagating light generated by the light generating system and a light distributor configured to redirect light propagated by the delivery conduit into a direction of an object to be imaged. A discriminator is configured for capturing light reflected from the object incident on a window of the discriminator from a particular direction and transmitting only the light captured from the particular direction to a second light delivery conduit. A drive mechanism is configured to sweep the window through a plurality of directions in a predictable pattern for matching each light capture event in the window with a direction of the window during the event. An analyzer matches the direction of the window with an associated light capture event and generate a visible image based on a mosaic of the captured light.

摘要: An endoscope realized as either a borescope or a fiberscope including one or more fluid filled lenses is described. In an embodiment, the optical power of the fluid filled lenses may be adjusted to adjust the focal length associated with the endoscope. Thus, variable working distances are allowable while maintaining focus on an object in front of the endoscope. The endoscope may include a distance sensor, which is used to determine a distance between the endoscope and a sample. A processor may compare the measured distance to the current optical power of the one or more sealed fluid filled lenses. The processor may transmit signals to one or more actuators coupled to one or more sealed fluid filed lenses to change the optical power of the one or more sealed fluid filled lenses based on the comparison.
