    摘要: An energy control network may include a number of load control devices, such as dimmer switches, multi-button selector switch, occupancy sensors, and remote controllers, among others. These load control devices may be configured for wireless communication. Other wireless devices, such as laptops, tablets, and “smart” cellular phones may be configured to communicate with the load control devices of the energy control network. The load control devices and the other wireless communication devices may also be configured for Near Field Communication (NFC). NFC may be used to provide a load control device with its initial default configuration and/or an application specific configuration. Also, NFC may be used to transfer a configuration from one load control device that may have become faulty, to a replacement load control device. And NFC may be used to provide and trigger commands that may cause a load control load device to operate in a predetermined manner.

    摘要: A method and system for capturing a Finite State Machine (FSM) description of the desired behavior of a device, and converting that description into a program that is executable by the device. In the preferred embodiment, the device is a programmable robot toy. The user enters an FSM description of the desired behavior of the robot toy using a graphical user interface running on a personal computer. When requested, the preferred embodiment compiles the FSM description into a program executable by a virtual machine running on a micro-controller inside the robot toy. This program is sent to the toy via an infrared transmitter and infrared receiver, and stored in the toy's memory. Then, when the robot toy is used, the virtual machine executes the stored program so that the toy behaves as specified by the FSM description.

A great flexibility is accomplished since the control computer (17) can also be plugged in at the plug-in positions of other home appliances connected to the bus system. By changing the plug-in location of the control computer (17), the entire system can be controlled from different points. The control computer does not require a special location but is integrated into one of the home appliances when it is plugged in.

    摘要: A memory control arrangement includes a microcontroller for performing a program memory operation and a data memory operation. The microcontroller produces address signals and a control output indicating first and second operating conditions. A program memory having a first range of memory locations stores a first program and is connected to the address lines for being addressed by the microcontroller. A data memory has second and third ranges of memory locations for storing, respectively, a second program and data for use by program variables. The data memory is connected to the address lines for selectively addressing the second and third ranges of memory locations by the address signals from the microcontroller. A memory range controller is coupled to the control output of the microcontroller for receiving the control signal and is responsive to the first operating condition indicated by the control signal for coupling the address signals to the first range of memory locations in the program memory during the program memory operation of the microcontroller and to the third range of memory locations in the data memory during the data memory operation of the microcontroller. The memory range controller is further responsive to the second operating condition indicated by the control signal for coupling the address signals to the second range of memory locations in the data memory during the program memory operation of the microcontroller and to the third range of memory locations in the data memory during the data memory operation of the controller.
