Abstract:
Exemplary venues allow for members of an audience at different locations within these venues to simultaneously interact with an interactive content. The interactive content can convey one or more requisite actions to be performed by the members of the audience. However, the one or more requisite actions can reach members of the audience at different instances in time. These exemplary venues can effectively compensate for these different instances in time such that the accuracy and/or the synchronization of one or more response actions, which are performed by the members of the audience in response to the one or more requisite actions, can be characterized as no longer being dependent upon their distance from the interactive content. Rather, the accuracy and/or the synchronization of the one or more response actions by the members of the audience to the one or more requisite actions can be considered as being related to the performance, for example, timing, of the one or more response actions themselves.
Abstract:
A game apparatus includes two LCDs, and a game screen is displayed on one LCD, and a touch panel is set on the other LCD. A game screen for teaching an input timing and an input kind that are set in advance is displayed, and music for teaching the input timing is output. A player performs a touch-on operation, a touch-off operation, a flipping operation and a rubbing operation on the touch panel by viewing the game screen, and listening to the music. The input timing and input kind that are performed by the player and the input timing and the input kind that are set in advance are compared to thereby produce a situation corresponding to the comparison result.
Abstract:
A gaming apparatus includes a display, a touch panel, and a controller. The display displays an image thereon. The touch panel is provided so as to cover a display screen of the display and outputs a position signal corresponding to a point touched by a player. The controller receives the position signal from the touch panel and changes the image in accordance with the number of position signals simultaneously received.
Abstract:
A digital broadcast receiving apparatus for displaying a stereoscopic image includes a demultiplexing unit configured to demultiplex a received digital broadcast signal; a PSIP or PSI/SI processor configured to extract extension view video information from the demultiplexed digital broadcast signal; a decoder configured to decode an extension view video stream and a base view video stream from the demultiplexed digital broadcast signal; and an output formatting unit configured to format the extension view video stream and the base view video stream based on the extension view video information.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for re-arranging a musical composition using augmented reality are disclosed. A user can be provided with one or more physical image markers representative of at least one of a musical entity and a musical style in which a musical track has been pre-recorded. Upon capturing a visual scene in which one or more of these physical image markers are included, an augmented reality version of the visual scene is displayed along with audio corresponding to the musical style(s) and/or entities represented by the one or more physical image markers.
Abstract:
A movement supporting method includes the following steps: detecting a movement tempo of a user; determining whether a movement tempo detection value is within a target range; and outputting a warning when the movement tempo detection value is out of the target range.
Abstract:
A system for improving bodily dexterity includes a plurality of wearable sensor units and a processing unit. The plurality of wearable sensor units each include a sensor for sensing a user action, a generating module for generating an action signal that includes information about the user action, and a sensor transmitter for transmitting the action signal. The processing unit includes a processing unit receiver for receiving the action signal, an interpretation module for interpreting the action signal in accordance with a set of pre-assigned criteria, and an output signal generator for generating an output signal based on the interpreted action signal.
Abstract:
An example game apparatus includes a CPU, and the CPU reproduces a BGM according to BGM data. When a ball object and an item object are shot at a predetermined timing, and a player object catches or receives the ball object at a point of impact, a part of melody of a main theme of the BGM is output. In a case that each player object catches or receives a ball object of the same color as that assigned to the own player object, a correct melody is output, but in a case that it catches or receives a ball object of a different color, a melody being different in pitch is output. Alternatively, in a case that the ball object cannot be caught or received, no melody is output.

Abstract:
A system and method for improving musical education through use of a game, is provided. The method includes the steps of: receiving electrical signals associated with a musical piece provided by a user of the game; converting the electrical signals into digital samples; and analyzing the digital samples with use of auxiliary information, for purposes of improving signal analysis accuracy, resulting in determining various parameters of the musical piece provided by the user, wherein the auxiliary information is a-priori data related to at least one element selected from the group consisting of a musical instrument being played, a technical environment, the game, and information regarding the user of the game. Visual and/or audio feedback may also be provided to the user regarding the musical piece that they are providing.
