摘要: An input support method is provided for use in an input support apparatus that supports input of a music note. The method includes: controlling a display unit to display a pitch-time plane that includes a pitch-axis and a time-axis, a chord sequence that is associated with the time-axis of the pitch-time plane, and a pointer that indicates a position on the time-axis along the chord sequence; identifying constituent music notes that form a chord corresponding to a display position of the pointer along the chord sequence; and controlling the display unit to display areas on the pitch-time plane, each displayed area indicating a corresponding one of the identified constituent music notes, differently from other areas on the pitch-time plane.

摘要: A method of making audio music selection and creating a mixtape, comprising importing song files from a song repository; sorting and filtering the song files based on selection criteria; and creating the mixtape from the song files sorting and filtering results. The sorting and filtering of the song files comprise: spectral analyzing each of the song files to extract low level acoustic feature parameters of the song file; from the low level acoustic feature parameter values, determining the high level acoustic feature parameters of the analyzed song file; determining a similarity score of each of the analyzed song files by comparing the acoustic feature parameter values of the analyzed song file against desired acoustic feature parameter values determined from the selection criteria; and sorting the analyzed song files according to their similarity scores; and filtering out the analyzed song files with first similarity scores lower than a filter threshold.

摘要: A media content item sequencing system determines a sequence for playback of selected media content items, such as media content items in a playlist. The system calculates similarities between all possible pairs of the media content items and determines a sequence of the media content items using the similarities. The sequence of media content items can be determined by modeling the track features of the media content items with a graphic traversal problem and calculating a solution to the problem with various methods.

摘要: The present invention extends to practice devices and systems for practicing to play stringed instruments. An electronic stringed instrument practice device can be configured to perform one or more of the following: detect when finger positions and/or string to fret contact on a finger or fret board forms an appropriate musical note or musical chord, visually indicate appropriate positions on a finger or fret board for forming a musical note or musical chord, and detect when strings have been selected (e.g., strummed). The electronic stringed instrument practice device can emit sound in the form of musical notes and chords. The electronic stringed instrument practice device can include communication modules for communicating with other computing devices, including mobile phones and tablets. The electronic stringed instrument practice device can interact with applications on other computing devices to further assist users in learning how to play a stringed musical instrument.

摘要: Advanced, but user-friendly composition and editing environments for musical scores may be provided using the types, and in some cases the instances, of computing devices that will in turn consume musical score content so generated. Indeed, by integrating musical composition facilities within synthetic musical instruments that can be widely deployed on hand-held or portable computing devices, a social music network that includes such synthetic musical instruments gains access to a large, and potentially prolific, population of authors, editors and reviewers, as well as to the community-sourced musical scores that they can generate. By curating such content and/or by applying crowd-sourcing or other computational techniques to maintain quality, a social music network may rapidly deploy the new and ever evolving content that its user community desires.
