    摘要: A method is disclosed for operating a switching device using at least one electromagnetic drive, which has a displaceable armature for opening and closing at least one main contact of the switching device. According to at least one embodiment of the invention, a modification of the magnetic flux between a first position, when the main contact is deactivated, and a second position, when the main contact is activated, is identified in the electromagnetic drive and a solenoid current of the electromagnetic drive is restricted to a predetermined minimum current value in the second position, if the magnetic flux modification exceeds a predeterminable value. One advantage of at least one embodiment is that an actuation displacement of the armature can be identified as reliable, if an associated modification of the magnetic flux is also measured. The metrological recording of the magnetic flux is contactless.

    摘要: A system for measuring and controlling solenoid armature position. The system determines inductive voltage in the drive winding of the solenoid, integrates that voltage to obtain flux, and uses the current/flux ratio to measure armature position. To overcome integration drift, the current/flux position measure is compared to an independent position measure, this comparison leading to a drift correction. In an embodiment maintaining a servo-controlled position, flux drift causes position drift and current drift, the latter providing an independent measure of position drift and flux drift, permitting drift correction. In a second embodiment, a high frequency component of the drive voltage (possibly from pulse width modulation) and a high frequency current measurement provide the independent measure of position.

    摘要: An actuator is provided with a position sensing system which comprises a permanent magnet, a saddle plate, a sole plate and the magnetically sensitive component. The magnet and the magnetically sensitive component are disposed between the saddle plate and the sole plate which are spaced apart for these purposes. A moveable plunger is arranged to move along an axis relative to a stationary stop member. A first magnetic circuit is provide which comprises the permanent magnet, the saddle plate, the sole plate, the stop member and the moveable plunger. A second magnetic circuit is provided which comprises the magnet, the saddle plate, the sole plate and a magnetically sensitive component such as a Hall effect element. In addition, an adjustment means can be provided within the second magnetic circuit to change the reluctance of that circuit for adjustment purposes. When the plunger is moved away from the stop member, an air gap exists therebetween which provides sufficient reluctance to the first magnetic circuit to permit the permanent magnet to provide a sensible magnetic field at the magnetically sensitive component. When the plunger moves into contact with the stop member, the reluctance of the first magnetic circuit decreases sufficiently to decrease the magnetic field strength of the second magnetic circuit to a magnitude which is detectable by the Hall effect element.
