    摘要: Button assemblies using curable foam shims are disclosed. A button assembly may include a housing, a button positioned within the housing, and a curable foam shim positioned within the housing, the foam shim transformable between a compressible state having a first thickness, to a rigid state having a second thickness smaller than the first thickness. In this manner, the foam shim can be used to adaptively fill the interior of a button assembly by adapting to the dimensions of various components within the button assembly. In another example, a button assembly is formed using a foam shim by curing from a first state having a first thickness to a second state having a second thickness greater than the first thickness. In this manner, the foam shim can be used to adaptively fill the interior of a button assembly by adapting to the dimensions of various components within the button assembly.

    摘要: A circuitry is provided with a first switching contact. A first spacer is laminated on the circuitry so as to provide a first space above the first switching contact. A first, elastic sheet member is laminated on the first spacer and provided with a second switching contact opposing to the first switching contact in the first space. The first sheet member is operable to deform while using the first space to bring the second switching contact into an electrical contact with the first switching contact. A second spacer is laminated on the first sheet member so as to provide a second space above a first part of the first sheet member. A second sheet member is laminated on the second spacer, the second sheet member being operable to deform while using the second space to thereby deform the first part of the first sheet member. An elastic member is interposed between the first sheet member and the second sheet member at the second space. The elastic member has an elastic deformability which is higher than an elastic deformability of the first sheet member.

    摘要: A multiple flat-type switch consisting of three foils of insulating material placed on top of each other and bonded to one another. The center foil is provided with holes and the two outer foils are provided on their insides with contact surfaces which come into contact with one another when a pressure is exerted upon the foil arrangement. For the purpose of achieving a switch having a large overtravel (overlift) the contact surfaces are arranged in one row along the edge of the foil arrangement, while the leads extend almost vertically in relation to the edge of the foil. The foil arrangement is slotted from the edge within the area of the contact surfaces, and arranged on a foam-plastic base. For preventing the metallizations from being damaged, metal-free regions are provided for at the points of pressure attack, and the contact surfaces of the upper foil are connected in a spiral-shaped manner to their respective terminals within the area of the holes of the center foil.

    摘要: An actuating device for actuating a function on a motor vehicle includes a touch surface actuated by a user. The touch surface is arranged in such a way that it can be moved under pressure from a first end position to a second end position. An elastic reset urges the touch surface into the first end position. A contact switch is arranged between the touch surface and a support surface. A guide sleeve and a guide pin guide the touch surface when actuated. When moving the touch surface, the guide pin is moved in an axial direction into the sleeve and is secured against lateral movement in a small diameter section of the pin. However, the guide pin can be tipped in the sleeve about a pivot point in the small diameter section, thus preventing the touch surface from being jammed in the event of a decentralized impact.
