    Abstract: The present invention relates to a direct current relay, and more particularly, to a direct current relay capable of reducing an electronic repulsive force generated between a fixed contact and a movable contact by a permanent magnet installed to extinguish an arc. The direct current relay includes: a frame; first and second fixed contacts spaced from each other with a predetermined distance there between; first and second magnetic substances formed to enclose a lower part of the first and second fixed contacts; a movable contact movable to contact or to be separated from the first and second fixed contacts, having a first movable contact contactable to the first fixed contact, and having a second movable contact contactable to the second fixed contact; and a pair of permanent magnets installed on long sides of the frame.

    Abstract: A multiple flat-type switch consisting of three foils of insulating material placed on top of each other and bonded to one another. The center foil is provided with holes and the two outer foils are provided on their insides with contact surfaces which come into contact with one another when a pressure is exerted upon the foil arrangement. For the purpose of achieving a switch having a large overtravel (overlift) the contact surfaces are arranged in one row along the edge of the foil arrangement, while the leads extend almost vertically in relation to the edge of the foil. The foil arrangement is slotted from the edge within the area of the contact surfaces, and arranged on a foam-plastic base. For preventing the metallizations from being damaged, metal-free regions are provided for at the points of pressure attack, and the contact surfaces of the upper foil are connected in a spiral-shaped manner to their respective terminals within the area of the holes of the center foil.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a membrane-type keyboard comprising a support member, a pair of spaced-apart sheets of flexible insulating material having designated key portions positioned adjacent to and spaced from said support member and a pair of electrical conductors each attached to adjacent inner surfaces of said key portions. The depression of a key portion of the top sheet forces the adjacent electrical conductors into contact. Further depression of the key portion of the top sheet moves both electrical conductors and the key portions of the spaced-apart sheets a distance sufficient to provide a positive degree of tactile feedback to the operator.

    Abstract: Provided is a contact device in which all of three movable contacts can be securely brought into contact with fixed contacts. The contact device includes a fixed terminal 37 that has a fixed contact 35, a movable terminal 28 that moves toward and away from the fixed terminal 37 and has three movable contacts 31a, 31b, and 31c that are brought into contact with the fixed contact 35, and a pressing spring 33 that presses the movable terminal 28 and brings the movable contacts 31a, 31b, and 31c into contact with the fixed contacts 35 at a predetermined pressing force.     Abstract: A membrane switch with multiple switch sites in which, at a given switch site, three concavo-convex structures are juxtaposed over a set of switch contacts so that when the key is pressed, the force applied causes the three structures to cooperate to complete an electrical circuit and close the switch. An operator easily can detect when a switch has been effectively closed because of the superior tactile response resulting from the concavo-convex components. Apertured spacers also are provided to allow the contacts to be brought into communication with each other and to provide a distance through which the actuating force must travel to further enhance tactile feedback to the user.
