    摘要: According to one embodiment, an optical scanning device includes plural light sources, a polygon mirror, a first lens, a first reflection mirror, and a second lens. The polygon mirror deflects lights emitted from the plural light sources in a predetermined direction. The first lens allows the lights emitted from the plural light sources and deflected by the polygon mirror to pass. The first reflection mirror reflects the lights passed through the first lens in a direction different from the deflecting direction of the polygon mirror. The second lens receives incidence of the lights reflected by the first reflection mirror from a direction different from an incident direction of the first lens and allows, with one lens, the lights emitted from the plural light sources to pass.

    摘要: There is disclosed a superconducting switch including two superconducting coils wound on a common bobbin wherein these coils have the same critical current value, and are connected in parallel so that magnetomotive forces which are the same in magnitude and opposite to each other in direction are produced. This superconducting switch is non-inductive and responds to an overcurrent to securely operated at a high speed. There is also disclosed a current limiter including a current limiting coil connected in parallel with the superconducting switch used as a trigger coil. The superconducting switch exists within a magnetic field produced by the current limiting coil. There is further disclosed a current limiter such that the current limiting coil is constructed to be of non-inductive type using two coils, and a superconducting switch is connected to either of these coils.

    摘要: A system for measuring height distributions of atmospheric temperature and wind velocity (wind direction and wind speed) utilizes the facts that a sound wavefront in the atmosphere constitutes part of an ellipsoidal surface and that there always exists a normal which passes through an interior point of the ellipsoid. The Doppler radar is capable of measuring a height distribution of wind velocity on the basis of Doppler frequencies of scattered waves produced by the atmospheric turbulence. The radar and generator are arranged on a straight line in the wind direction so that a radio wave from the radar is directed to the wavefront of a sound wave from the generator. The radar antenna beam is scanned so that it perpendicularly intersects the sound wavefront. The speed of the sound wavefront is measured from the Doppler frequencies of reflected waves. The sound speed is obtained by removing the wind speed component from the measured speed of the sound wavefront. The sound speed obtained is calculated in terms of atmospheric temperature, thereby obtaining the height distribution of the atmospheric temperature.

    摘要: An acoustic wave source and a radio wave source are installed close to each other on the ground. When an acoustic wave pulse is transmitted vertically into the atmosphere by the acoustic wave source, spherical wavefronts formed in the atmosphere by the acoustic wave are propagated upwardly at the velocity of sound. When a continuous radio wave is transmitted from the radio wave source toward the spherical wavefronts, it is reflected by the wavefronts and the reflected radio waves are converged to form a focusing spot on the ground. The position where the spot due to the convergence of the reflected radio waves is formed with the maximum intensity is detected by means of an antenna network formed of a multiplicity of receiving antennas laid out in the pattern of a lattice. The time-course change of such positions of the spots is traced to realize remote measurement of the height distribution of wind direction and speed in the atmosphere under surveillance.
