    摘要: In a rotary anode type X-ray tube apparatus, a rotary anode target model X-ray pipe is received in housing. Housing is coupled by cooler device to supply a coolant in the housing. Anode target is fixed to a rotary cylinder, which is rotatably supported by a stationary shaft. The stationary shaft is provided with an inner hollow space for guiding the coolant. The coolant guided in the housing is split into two flowing streams, and one of the streams is introduced into the space for cooling of stationary shaft.

    摘要: An x-ray tube has a stationary cathode and a rotating anode contained in an evacuated housing. The anode is mounted on a stationary shaft on bearings. The anode has a hollow interior, in which a stationary heat-absorption member is disposed, also mounted to the shaft. The shaft is in the form of a tube, with the interior thereof being charged by a coolant. The coolant circulates through the heat-absorption member within the hollow interior of the anode to dissipate heat from the anode generated during the production of x-rays.

    摘要: A method of vacuum assembling a rotating anode X-ray tube of the type having a rotor and a shaft extending therefrom with a magnetic fluid for vacuum sealing about the shaft. The tube is subjected to a high temperature bake-out whereby gases are sufficiently evolved from exposed metal parts that a stable low pressure region is created. A static seal is used to temporarily seal the region during bake-out with the anode temporarily rendered non-rotatable and the permanent magnetic vacuum seal protected from the high temperature. The system is then allowed to cool off before the permanent magnetic vacuum seal is moved into its operational position within the high vacuum. Assembly tooling is provided ensuring that the high vacuum is maintained throughout the installation. Bearings are installed external to the region of high vacuum to transmit rotary motion of the shaft through the permanent seal. Finally, the tube is rendered operational by displacing the static seal thereby permitting the anode to be rotated.

    摘要: A rotating-anode X-ray tube for producing a flat wide-angle fan-shaped beam with a substantially uniform distribution of energy comprises a cylindrical anode and a cathode axially or peripherally offset from the target area or focus bombarded by the electrons so that the axis of the fan-shaped beam emitted by that area can extend radially to the cylindrical anode surface. An arcuate shield closely paralleling this cylindrical surface is apertured at its center in front of the focus and intercepts stray electrons which would be liable to bombard the anode at points outside the target area so as to give rise to extra-focal radiation. Such a tube is useful in apparatus designed for axial transverse tomography.

A calibration procedure is performed during which a portion of the detector array is shadowed by an object, causing the detector array to be non-uniformly exposed to radiation.
