    摘要: The present invention relates to a rotor for an X-ray tube. In order to provide further possibilities for weight reduction in X-ray tubes for providing an increase of rotation frequency, a rotor (10) for an X-ray tube is provided, comprising a rotational structure (12) with a plurality of electrically conducting elements (14), the ends thereof connected to each other and provided such that an external stator magnetic field generated by a stator induces a current in the electrically conducting elements, which current generates a rotor magnetic field to interact with the stator magnetic field. At least the plurality of electrically conducting elements is made from carbon composite based material.

    摘要: The invention relates to a rotary-anode X-ray tube which includes an axial bearing arrangement which is particularly suitable for combination with a radial spiral groove bearing. It is a problem of known axial magnet bearings, which generally comprise two tooth-like structures which are oriented in the radial direction and are oppositely situated, consists in that substantial radial forces are generated during the starting and the stopping phase, which radial forces can cause substantial wear of notably radial spiral groove bearings. An axial bearing which involves significantly lower radial forces and hence a less loading of the radial bearings, is realized by an arrangement of at least two magnetic elements which are spaced apart in the axial direction and are connected in such a manner that they take up axial bearing forces. A further solution to this problem is achieved by means of an axial bearing in the form of a single-point ball bearing.

    摘要: X-ray tubes with a magnetic bearing either have the disadvantage that the anode must be at earth potential, so that an asymmetric high-voltage supply is required or that -- in the case of a symmetric high voltage -- a relatively wide air gap is necessary which requires a high driving force and a bearing which has a certain amount of drawbacks. The invention provides an insulator between the anode which is at the high-voltage potential and the rotor which is at the earth potential, so that the air-gap between the rotor and stator can be relatively small and an effective magnetic bearing is possible.

    摘要: A magnetically levitated object provided with a magnetic suspension system consisting of support magnets which magnetically cooperate. The levitated object is maintained in a stable condition by means of a stabilizing device which substantially comprises two main magnetic elements one of which is connected to the levitated object and comprises at least one stabilizing permanent magnet. The second main element includes a system which generates a constant amplitude magnetic alternating field in which the stabilizing magnet is disposed. If the levitated object is to be stationary, an electric coil surrounds the stabilizing magnet. In the case of a moving object, such as a levitated train, each carriage -- suspended or standing -- is provided with a row of stabilizing magnets which are arranged parallel to the magnet rail and are alternately magnetized in opposite directions. A linear damping system may be used to restrict any oscillations.

    摘要: A rotor assembly includes a rotor having a central axis extending between the two opposing ends and a radial surface, and is rotatable about the central axis. At least one electromagnet is disposed proximal to and configured to exert magnetic force on a portion of the rotor. Further, a channeling member is disposed generally adjacent to the electromagnet and has a radial surface disposed adjacent to the rotor radial surface. As such, magnetic flux generated by the electromagnet extends generally radially between the electromagnet and the rotor portion and generally axially between the rotor portion and the channeling member so that the magnetic force biases the rotor both radially and axially to maintain the rotor at a desired position. Preferably, the assembly includes a plurality of magnets proximal to each end, two channeling members, and a tubular body extending between the channeling members and enclosing the rotor.

    摘要: An x-ray device has a cathode aligned on a target region in a tube housing with a rotating anode unit. The rotating anode unit is borne to rotate around a rotational axis inside the tube housing. The rotating anode unit has a rotating anode plate with the target region and a shaft rotationally connected with the rotating anode plate. A magnetic bearing supports the shaft without contact in the tube housing. The rotating anode plate has an axial extension facing away from the shaft. The axial extension dips into a fluid-filled receptacle space of the tube housing for heat dissipation. Such an x-ray device allows high rotation speeds of the rotating anode unit, and thus a high operational power.
