    摘要: A buried-type ready access splice closure comprises a dielectric base with a central opening for receiving the opposite runs of a loop of cable. The base contains clamping means for clamping the runs of the cable and for grounding the shield of the cable outside of the base. The loop of cable has its coverings stripped away to expose the insulated core wires for splicing to service wires. The loop is supported by a bracket that is attached to the base and to the clamping means, and the loop and bracket are enclosed by a cover that is removably clamped to the base. Additional openings are provided in the base for receiving the service wires which may be sealed to the base by a nut and bushing arrangement. The cable runs are sealed by potting compound in the central opening.

    摘要: A first aspect relates to cable connectors for connecting two multicore cables, namely, two flat cables or one flat cable and one round cable. The cable connector includes a clamping sleeve, having a ceramic insulator with at least two openings, one on each side of the clamping sleeve, for accommodating core conductors. The clamping sleeve includes at least two contact inserts that pass through the clamping sleeve at corresponding openings on both sides. Clamping elements are associated with each of the at least two contact inserts in order to clamp the core conductors on one side or the other side of the contact inserts, and thus to establish electrical contact between the clamping sleeve and the multicore flat cable or round cable, thereby connecting the two cables. The cable connector also includes a heat shrink tube that envelops the entering portions of the cables and the clamping sleeve, and in the shrunken state lies tightly against an outer contour of the clamping sleeve and an outer contour of the portion of the cables that enter the clamping sleeve.A second aspect relates to a cable termination for the insulating termination of a multicore flat cable. The cable termination includes a clamping sleeve that includes a ceramic insulator with at least two openings on one side of the clamping sleeve for accommodating core conductors. The clamping sleeve includes at least two contact inserts situated behind the openings, a clamping element being associated with each of the at least two contact inserts in order to clamp the core conductors on the contact inserts and thus establish mechanical fixing of the core conductors on the clamping sleeve so as to electrically insulate them from one another, and thus to terminate the cable. The cable termination also includes a heat shrink tube that envelops the entering portion of the cable and the clamping sleeve, and in the shrunken state lies tightly against an outer contour of the clamping sleeve and an outer contour of the portion of the cable that enters the clamping sleeve.

    摘要: An encapsulating permanent wire connector is comprised of a housing provided with a first port and a second port. At least one division wall extends coaxially in a portion of the housing to a side of a straight central axis of the housing and defines an electrically isolating cavity in the housing. The housing has an opening to inject a sealing substance therein. Air evacuation holes are associated with the electrically isolating cavity for the escape of air therefrom when a sealing substance is injected within the housing with soldered wire connections being disposed in the housing and isolated from one another by the electrically isolating cavity. In a preferred embodiment, there are two spaced-apart electrically isolating cavities with a central cavity therebetween.

    摘要: A conductor terminal block and a mounting member therefor having provision for detachably holding one or more blocks snugly but detachably assembled to one or both faces of the mounting member. As shown, each block includes a pair of threaded studs to which conductors can be clamped. The one-piece mounting member is molded of resilient non-conductive material and includes a pair of resilient latches to which a respective terminal block can be snugly assembled. A tool serves to deflect the latches and release any block independently of the others. The conductor terminal connecting capacity is readily expandable upon need by adding one or more terminal blocks and one or more terminal block mounting members.
