    摘要: A tap-off box includes a latch that automatically secures the tap-off box to a busway upon insertion of a mast into the busway. The latch is in the form of a single spring-loaded member that latches onto a rail as the masthead is pushed into the busway. A push button actuated camming member pushes the latch away from the rail to enable the masthead to be withdrawn from the busway. The push button and camming member are independent of the mechanism that extends and retracts the contacts while the masthead is inserted and latched into the busway. The tap-off box may also include non-contact current monitoring sensors with voltage sensing inserts that an auxiliary breaker switch in applications other than a tap-off box, and an infrared emitting faceplate that can be adapted for monitoring a variety of breakers from outside the tap-off box.

    摘要: Technologies are generally described for a pocket junction box system. In an example, a pocket junction box is configured to fit inside a meter collar. The pocket junction box includes a first set of electrical terminals on a rear surface of the pocket junction box for interfacing with wire leads inside the meter collar, and a second set of electrical terminals on a front surface of the pocket junction box for interfacing with field wire leads outside the meter collar. The pocket junction box may further include at least one current transducer and at least one microprocessor for monitoring the power flow through the pocket junction box. A front casing is attached to the front surface of the pocket junction box and connected to the second set of electrical terminals. The front casing may include a communications circuit board for communicating with a meter data management system.

    摘要: An electrical busway plug-in unit includes a pair of restraint mechanisms extending through the housing of the plug-in unit for mechanically attaching the plug-in unit to the busway. Each restraint mechanism includes a rotatable shaft extending through the front wall of the housing, and a knob attached to the front end of the shaft, on the exterior side of the front wall of the housing, for manually rotating the shaft. A mechanical connector projects rearwardly from the rear wall of the housing and extends forwardly into the interior of the housing where the connector is coupled to the shaft so that rotational movement of the shaft in opposite directions moves the connector into and out of latching engagement with the busway.

    摘要: An electrical busway system includes a joint assembly having a joint housing with an upper plate and a lower plate. The lower plate has a nut-receiving hole. A top mounted bolt secures a plurality of electrical conductors to the joint housing, the conductors being mounted between the upper plate and the lower plate. A nut is connected to a threaded end of the bolt, the nut having a main body positioned at least in part within the nut-receiving hole and a tightening end positioned outside the nut-receiving sleeve. A nut gasket is provided for the main body of the nut within the nut-receiving hole to form a sealed zone for preventing water entry into the joint housing.
